What was the last movie you watched and how would you rate it?

Saw John Wick the other night. Keanu is a terrible actor, but the movie was entertaining.

I thought bird man was very underwhelming. Can some please explain the ending?

Anyone still worried it's going to be PG-13?

    It's not a Disney movie. It's 20th Century Fox.

He's making fun of Scarlet Buckeye.

Mantooth and I saw The Gift last night. I'd say a solid 7.5/10. Definitely suspenseful, and the story is interesting and original.

You mean you weren't SHOCKED by the ending? And at the edge of your seat waiting for the next twist? Like the trailers say lol

I was surprised, and there were moments where I was on edge. Joel Edgerton was creepy as fuck, that's fur sure.

    Fantastic Four getting ripped apart.
It's a shame they can't do this faction right.

He hasn't been on the OC since December. Will we see him in the Browns thread/Browns bus at the stadium this season?

Come on, Gerb. This would be the first one over a 7.

Series, not a movie, but almost done with the first season of Daredevil. Fucking fantastic. Can't wait for season two.

Get Hard - 5/10. I really don't get the appeal of Kevin Hart. 1 of the 5 points i'm giving it is because Allison Brie is totally banging.

Yep, we will be tailgating. I told him he's missed on the OC, so he said he will check in soon.

Straight Outta Compton. A Maybe A+

New found respect for Eazy Z. Had no idea he was the 'star'/'face' of N.W.A. So much more respect for Ice Cube now. Before, I was never really much of a fan. Now, that I know he was the main lyricist behind N.W.A., I have so much more respect for him. Also have more respect for Dr. Dre. Always liked Dre's beats, but I guess I didn't know he was the main producer behind N.W.A. Wasn't expecting the film to get too much into 'Snoop' and '2Pac'. Those were nice surprises. Suge Knight really came of as loser of the film. Guy was a total jerk. Side note: Who was the dude in the tighty-whiteys that was naked curcled up on the floor with the dog barking at him. Dre came out and kinda broke it up. Was that supposed to be Sean Combs?

I thought the actors that played Eazy E, Ice Cube, and especially Dr Dre were all really good. It'll be interesting to see if any of those young guys go on to have any solid careers after this. Wouldn't be surprised if the actor who played Dre (Corey Hawkins) goes on to have a nice career. Whoa! Just looked it up... had no idea the kid who played Ice Cube was actually Ice Cube's son (O'Shea Jackson, Jr.) lol. No wonder he looked so much like Ice Cube. Paul Giamatti was great as always.

Fantastic Four D- Maybe an F.

Going into this film, I knew it wasn't going to be good. When the director tweets out, "A year ago I had a fantastic version of this. And it would've received great reviews. You'll probably never see it. That's reality though." you know you're going to be in for a rough film. Also, the 8% Rotten Tomatoes score pretty much tells you you're in for a stinker. The whole plot was just stupid. I said from the get go tho, when they casted Michael B Jordan (a black actor) for Johnny Storm (a white character who has a sister who is also white), I knew this film was going to be in trouble Trying to get "creative" and express artistic license in a stunt like that just set this fim on a horrible trajectory path. The whole plot was just awful. Teleportation? Oozing rock? Requiring suits to control/harness their powers? Dr. Doom's suit graphing to his body? The writing (lines) was awful. Just not a good film. No end scene credits either? WTF. Just seemed like a hastily made film for a money grab. Which is sad, because there's so much potential with the whole Fantastic Four arc, but now that thhey have this dumpster fire to combine with the previous two films (which also weren't very great), we probably won't be seeing another Fantastic Four film for a long time now.

    Went on a binge.

Antman - 7.5/10 - Better than I anticipated. Still not sure Paul Rudd is who you want playing someone who teams up with the Avengers, but as far as I'm concerned, he's earned his chance to show he can make it work. Also, it was nice to see Michael Douglas not looking like he just came off a 36-hour bender.

Mission: Impossible: Rogue Nation - 10/10 - This was excellent. Between this one and Ghost Protocol, they really did a good job resurrecting the franchise after the MI2 and MI3 abominations. Also, they did manage to put my favorite operatic piece in the film (Nessun Dorma from Turandot), which I got way too excited about when it came on.

Fantastic Four - WTF/10 - The cast was fine. The concept was fine. They have an overall plot to fit this in, so it's not like they were flying blind, but somewhere, they decided that instead of a film, they should drop a giant pile of shit instead.

I'm sure they care that a white guy who loves twilight has more respect for them now that he saw their movie.

Got the wife out for date night Friday night and saw:

Trainwreck: 8.5 /10. I thought it was funny and LeBron was pretty good in it.

Then saw a couple others on Saturday night at home:

    The Gambler (with Marky-Mark) 6/10.
Him as an English professor was not good. Any of the bad guys he owed money too should of killed him. I was waiting for a sex scene with his college student. That might of saved the movie and make me give it a better rating, but it never happened.

The Boy next door (with Jo Lo) 5/10.
Jo Lo scene was okay, but movie was just not that suspenseful and both the stalker and her kid were annoying. End was weird also.

Idk. I guess I just always thought Dre was the face of N.W.A. Learned something new.
