What was the last movie you watched and how would you rate it?

raiderbuckDear White People - 3/10.
From the previews it looked kind of funny. I thought it would be a funny comedy based on pop culture references and racial stereotypes (think Buzzfeed lists turned movie). It turned out to be a poor attempt at addressing race relations and cultural issues from the views of liberal millennials. A poor man's "Spike Lee Joint." I'm a liberal millennial and I still hated it. -

SportsAndLadySaw Spotlight tonight...great movie. 9/10.

jmogSaw creed with the wife. As a kid who watched Rocky 4 first as a kid and later the earlier ones this movie was actually REALLY good.
9/10. -
TiernanSaw Creed today. As someone who remembers seeing the original Rocky and how ground breaking it was at the time, then being disappointed with the succession of sequels that never came close to the original...Creed comes the closest. I hope the Academy can appreciate how good Stallone is in this.

isadorestar war the force awakens
7 out of 10 -
HitsRusDisney does not do anything half assed and this was no exception. The visuals/ special effects were spectacular....solid "A".
The plot... Ehhhh not so much....I expected something riveting....."B"... "B-".
Overall... "B+"... Not too bad considering you have to spend some time re-introducing things . Most certainly, Disney has re-energized the franchise. -
Ironman92Waterboy
8 -
DeyDurkie5Chef. 7/10
-
Classyposter58Star Wars was easily a 10 out of 10. Brought back the magic of the old ones with today's great technology. Cannot wait for the 8th, expecting it to be fantastic
-
GoPensStar Wars 9.5/10. Like watching Ep. IV with new characters but still loved it.
-
TokenKingsman: The secret service, on HBO. A fun movie and will watch again. Maybe a 9 out of 10.
-
gerb131007 8/10
-
Ironman92Anger Management 9 of 10 for me
-
GOONx19Birdman. The acting was great, but I still don't really get the point. 8/10.

jmogStar Wars Ep 7.
9/10. Up there with the original 3, made the Ep 1-3 debacles look even worse.
SPOILER ALERT (Kind of)...
The only reason it wasn't a 10 was that it really needed to have some different plot than just rehashing Ep 4 with new characters.
Also, kind of funny to see a grown woman balling her eyes out on the way out of the theatre because of which character died at the end. -
Laley23Star Wars: 8/10
Spoiler (below, can't hide it on phone)
Doenst come close to deserving 10/10. It's a fucking re-launch of the original series lol. The plot was the same damn thing.
Too much trying to tie it together to the original 3. Much of it was needed, but a decent chunk was not. Han Solo was fantastic as always.
How the fuck does it take Luke hours upon days of training with Master Yoda, to finally learn parts of the force...yet Rey gets it by herself in 15 minutes??? Dumbest thing ever and I'm still legit mad about that.
The ending was terrible. As if they needed to fill time so they had Rey waste 5 minutes walking up steps. Should've had the spaceship land and zoom out to show Luke in frame and have it take 15 seconds. -

Since we're spoiling... I haven't yet watched the movie, but the Internet rumors I read said that Luke trained Rey when she was young. When Ben flipped out, Luke wiped her mind and sent her into hiding to keep her safe. Touching the light saber started to bring her memories back.Laley23;1770663 wrote:Star Wars: 8/10

ok, that makes more sense. I was legit angry lol. I'm not a huge Star Wars guy so didn't read up on anything like that, but would make more sense.FatHobbit;1770686 wrote:Since we're spoiling... SnotBubblesAs someone who doesn't watch Star Wars movies (because I like to have intercourse, with girls, who have real vaginas); would you be able to watch it without watching the previous movies? I have one wiener kids who wants to go see it and I'm just prepping myself.
Thanks in advance. May the force be with your response. -

I would say if you are very familiar with the original 3 and its characters (Luke, Leia, Han Solo, Darth Vader, etc) you can see this one without having necessarily watched them all.SnotBubbles;1770797 wrote:As someone who doesn't watch Star Wars movies (because I like to have intercourse, with girls, who have real vaginas); would you be able to watch it without watching the previous movies? You can definitely watch this one without seeing the "newer" ones Episodes 1, 2, and 3. However, if you aren't somewhat familiar with what happened in Episodes 4, 5, and 6 you maybe lost at times...possibly.
