My college roomy was from Cinci and worked at Hudepohl Brewing Company, where his dad was a big shot.Crimson streak;1437988 wrote:Yeah, I freaking love rc cola lol. Working in the warehouse was awesome. We got to take anything damaged. My fridge was always stocked with rc cola, snapple, Arizona Arnold palmers and red bull lol
Amazing how often on his way to dispose damaged cases of beer they'd end up in his trunk.
Crap beer but when it's free who cares? -
dlazzNothing new to report guys.

I should probably stop drinking so much soda. It's terrible for my teeth. But how else am I going to get caffeine in the afternoon/evening?Commander of Awesome;1438006 wrote:I took a hiatus from drinking pop in college after I was downing about 6 dr peppers a day. dlazzThere was a shakeup at work. The guy I worked with on most projects left, and they let all of his duties waterfall onto me. Naturally, they didn't compensate me for the increased work load I am taking on.
Before, I was looking for a job that was either a step-up in pay or relevant to my degree, but now I'm starting to bend and applying for anything and everything that looks mildly interesting.
Also, IT recruiters have wasted approx. 3-4 hours of my time in the past two weeks.
/Hope this helps.

So you expected a pay raise just because you were given additional work… Entitlement Mentality 101
How about doing better that average job, prove you can do the work, handle the work load and establish yourself as a valuable un-replaceable individual within the operation.
When you’re the best at what you can do and there is nobody better everyone wants you and will pay for the services and skills you have. I’m proof of this … mentality
I can’t spell for shit and my grammar sucks but that does matter because my skills and knowledge is what matters. The best at what I do and know…
You spend more time whining and looking for reason to hate your job, rather then establishing yourself as an important individual within the company. The company sees you as you see yourself … meaningless….
Hope this helps.. mofo -

Wouldn't entitlement mentality be expecting to be paid more for doing the same or no work?Belly35;1449153 wrote:So you expected a pay raise just because you were given additional work… Entitlement Mentality 101
Dlazz was already unhappy and looking for something better so I'm not sure why he should be ok with getting double work dumped on him for the same pay. Once he's found something new maybe they realize he was a valuable assest or maybe they just dump it all on someone else but I don't think that takes away from his already being unhappy. -

I do all of these things, rendering the rest of your post meaningless. -
Belly35dlazz is your education degree in IT work?
What glory type job did you expect with a background education in IT?
If you're so good ... start your own business and have your present employer as your first customer.. I'm sure they would love to pay a consult fee and not the other burden rate from a full time emplyee. -
