Ohio State is more concerned with churning out top talent for the world rather than crafting their schools towards meaningless rankings developed by people who couldn't get in. :thumbup:like_that;1414314 wrote:Yet miamis undergrad is still ranked higher and they are the too ranked public university in Ohio. Lot easier to skate by when you class size is 300+. At miami where class size is about 20 or less and they have academic standards, its going to be a lot tougher no doubt.like_that;1414314 wrote:Yet miamis undergrad is still ranked higher and they are the too ranked public university in Ohio. like_thatsleeper;1414316 wrote:Why would I compare microcosms of a university? I'm talking overall, the only relevant number. Honestly, Ohio State and Miami aren't even in the same breath; we should be comparing Ohio State with other B1G institutions like Northwestern, Michigan, Illinois, and Wisconsin as well as strong academic powerhouses like Vanderbilt, Virginia and Stanford. Miami? LOL. Who?
Let me know when OSU is known as a public ivy of the Midwest.

Called marketing bro. Miami has to market the hell out of their school since their notable alumni could fit on 1 page with 25 pt font. :laugh:like_that;1414323 wrote:Let me know when OSU is known as a public ivy of the Midwest.

Also take away athletics and I'm willing to bet Miami has more distinguished alumni than OSU. -

Lot easier to grow as a school when everyone wants to go there. Miami doesn't have the demand that Ohio State has thus can't expand. Only so many people have daddies' credit card at their disposable and almost all of the them already went to Miami. :laugh:Commander of Awesome;1414333 wrote:Our alumni recently have been pretty bad (Rapistfucker and Paul Ryan) but we also have giants in the business industry and a US president. That's graduate school. Miami focuses on undergrad so that makes sense. When I was there they had less than 1000 graduate students. 90% of OSU's resources go to Graduate programs and athletics. 5% go to cleaning up the stadiums and taking trash like michigan fans behind the woodshed.O-Trap;1414339 wrote:Per Forbes:

Miami was founded 60 years earlier than OSU. That is the only reason old farts and people with stuffed shirts even think Miami is on the map. There is virtually no top talent that even bothers going to Miami. The best students in the world are international and Miami can't attract the attention of any of them. Sorry bro, you've been hoodwinked; hopefully daddies' credit card keeps working hard. :thumbup:like_that;1414338 wrote:Miami didnt coin that term nice fail.
