I am looking for a 9mm or .40 cal in the $300 range (im poor). Any suggestions on what to get or where to look? Going to a gun show in Akron this weekend.
I'll be sure not to use your accounting firm's services. -

I know what I said. If I were really broke, would I be looking for a gun? Use a little common sense.Commander of Awesome;1436200 wrote:You posted:

So where is my post about engagement rings? -

Common sense would be reading what you wrote. You explicitly said "I'm poor". Not sure where common sense says I should think otherwise. Esp considering you're a student. Nice save face logic fail.Pick6;1436204 wrote:I know what I said. If I were really broke, would I be looking for a gun? Use a little common sense.

Must have been mistaken about the engagement ring. -

+1. I wouldn't want financial consultation from somebody who thinks buying a gun when poor is a good idea.Commander of Awesome;1436200 wrote:You posted:

Also, back to Auto's point. Pick was using that post mainly to pat himself in the back. If you have a job with one of the big 4, then you most likely had an internship with them. That does not help dlazz. -

Nor does accounting have anything to do with IT. Big 4 accounting firms so many undergrads bc a large portion of them quit within the first year. Congrats on the job dude, but nothing to be smug about.like_that;1436210 wrote:+1. I wouldn't want financial consultation from somebody who thinks buying a gun when poor is a good idea.

Pick6My company isnt big 4 (though they might as well be).
Nice fail, guys. -

Dude. When you're poor you use a gun to rob people and get rich. Duhlike_that;1436210 wrote:+1. I wouldn't want financial consultation from somebody who thinks buying a gun when poor is a good idea. -
AutomatikSpeaking of job searching, I recently had my resume personally handed to the hiring manager manager of a major CPG organization. It's probably the most solid "in" I've had since my search started. I at least expect to get an interview, but I'm not banking on it. I've made that mistake several times.
Still searching daily. -
like_thatAnyway Dlazz, not sure if I mentioned this already, or somebody else has, but I highly recommend linked in. During my time searching for a job to move to DC, i posted on numerous groups related to DC (college alumni group, young professional groups, fraternity alumni, etc). I would pretty much just tell them I was trying to get a job in DC, what i was looking for, and what my background/education was like. I had quite a few people actually try to help me. I even got 3 interviews out of it.

Clearly, I would have stole the gun instead of buying it. Duh!lhslep134;1436214 wrote:Dude. When you're poor you use a gun to rob people and get rich. Duh -

So you went out of your way to brag about working for a "big" firm, when it isn't even part of the big 4? LOL.Pick6;1436213 wrote:My company isnt big 4 (though they might as well be).

Raw Dawgin' it
Huge turnover in accounting. My brother in law is a partner at a top 10 firm and he was saying 1 in 4 accountants quit each year, usually after they get their tax season bonus.Commander of Awesome;1436212 wrote:Nor does accounting have anything to do with IT. You are in for a rude awakening. I have seen undergrads like you all excited to work for an accounting firm, thinking the stress won't affect them. 6-8 months in they are QQing and ready to find a new job. Well, you aren't working for a big 4 though, so maybe it won't be as bad.Pick6;1436232 wrote:True. Public accounting isnt for everyone. -

LOL. Get off my dick already. If you really must know, I chose my company over E&Y (only big 4 offer, yeah I suck) because they are consistently ranked as a better workplace than most Big 4 firms and provide just as many career opportunities. Also have first hand knowledge that the E&Y locations in Akron and Cleveland are a terrible place to work. I have plenty of experience working long and stressful hours.like_that;1436241 wrote:You are in for a rude awakening. Pick6anyways, im out. Have fun crying about your lives.
Good luck, dlazz. -
Fab4RunnerI have finally had enough of my boss, so I plan to re-do my resume this week and start really searching. I am not looking forward to the process, but it is definitely time.

lol how cute. The undergrad went with crynasty's "quit following me" fail response. Myself, and I assume nobody else gives a fuck where you will work and who you interviewed with. Keep trying to justify your self worth on an internet forum though!Pick6;1436246 wrote:LOL. Get off my dick already. Make sure you have someone look over your resume when you're done editing.Fab4Runner;1436254 wrote:I have finally had enough of my boss, so I plan to re-do my resume this week and start really searching. I am not looking forward to the process, but it is definitely time.
