TiernanCNN reporting the California Teachers Pension is the largest investor in Cerberus, Inc the makers of Bushmaster rifles. Seems a little inappropriate don't ya think?
...and the CEO of Cerberus lives in Newtown, CT! Wat are the odds? -

Not really. I'd guess their investment is probably thru some money manager. They don't pick and choose which companies are invested in (although sometimes they make co-investments). A fund that size probably has exposure to almost every publicly traded company in the US.Tiernan;1346610 wrote:CNN reporting the California Teachers Pension is the largest investor in Bushmaster. TiernanWell the Cali Pension Mgr must think like I do because he is holding a presser right now saying they will be reviewing their relationship with Cerberus. Booya!

Nothing more than playing politics. I think Cerberus has already said they are pulling the investment. I'll bet money CAlpers has money in other gun manufacturers and also defense contractors and a host of other investments that liberals would object to. But the Bushmaster name is now radioactive.Tiernan;1346622 wrote:Well the Cali Pension Mgr must think like I do because he is holding a presser right now saying they will be reviewing their relationship with Cerberus. This. It's the same shit that people were saying about Romney. "Oh he invests in companies that move jobs in overseas", when in reality his money is managed by someone else who has money in a fund that owns .00012% of GM or something.gut;1346636 wrote:Nothing more than playing politics. SportsAndLadyMy little brother goes to high school in Cincinnati. Some kid at his school told kids not to come to school on January 15th...kids told administrators and he was questioned and detained by police.
Just what I heard..not sure how true it is. -

We are going to hear all sorts of these stories over the next couple of weeks. Remember the guy who had orange hair at a theater after the Colorado shooting? He was arrested.SportsAndLady;1346660 wrote:My little brother goes to high school in Cincinnati. Although the media coverage is "nice", it just gives the whackos an idea that they can become famous too. -

Yeah, to even try to say that was as comparable as your classless "jokes" is retarded.Tiernan;1346698 wrote:Was that an appropriate joke at this time? -

There's a clear difference between what lowry said and inferring that you are pleased that a devoted mother was murdered by her son.
CNN reporting that a former contractor who worked on several remodeling projects in the Lanza household says that the guns were locked in a secure vault in the basement of the home. This should put to rest any notion that Mrs. Lanza was a reckless gun freak who had artillery hidden behind chairs and under pillows throughout her house in preparation of a rebel sneak attack. Like anybody else in this country, she had the right to a means of protecting herself against possible intruders and she apparently took the responsibility of owning those weapons very seriously. While a popular stance here seems to be to question why Nancy Lanza had guns in her home in the first place, family and friends close to the situation have repeatedly implored that there were NEVER any signs of violent behavior exhibited by Adam Lanza. He was, by all accounts, a normal kid stricken by shyness and depression. More than half of every household in this country is inhabited by somebody who is depressed. And they are not psychos. -

Stalking? Or just noticing you acting like a dumbass on every thread you post on?Tiernan;1346710 wrote:Whoa Big Chief...I was just being sarcastic since Lowry has been stalking me lately. -
Trueblue23I'm not sorting through this mess, and it's probably already been posted, but the group "Anonymous" is now targeting the Westboro Baptist Church for saying god sent the shooter and that they're protesting the kid's funerals.

Saying what was two adults? The shooting? So, one of the six dead adults was also a shooter? Then Lanza was the 27th body?kirestananderson;1347010 wrote:Saying now that it was 2 adults. These news outlets are running with so many rumors on this event.
Pretty soon the media is going to say this was an alien attack. The way the media handled this event Friday was a disgrace. They got EVERY single detail wrong, and didn't think twice before reporting it. -

TiernanRec League...it has been confirmed she was a paranoid "prepper" worried about "the have nots" raiding her $2.2M enclave there in ultra-rich suburbia (even compared to other homes in the neighborhood hers is the biggest). Crazy Junior had a basement room plastered with Gun & War posters and the so called "locked" gun cabinet was also in the basement with Looney Toons. She was not "a devoted mother" she was "a delusional mother" that wanted desperately for her son to be "normal". But guess what honey? he was never gonna be normal and it was up to you to let somebody know he was a ticking time bomb. Dad and Big Bro knew it and they got the hell out of Dodge before he killed them too.
I'm hoping the victim families (especially the teacher's families) take legal action against the Mom's estate, the Dad & Bro's earnings and get at least some compensation out of this preventable tragedy. Yes preventable because they all should have been letting other folks know this nutjob was loose and not getting any help at all except for Mom's warped "devotion". -
