  Read this one after reading the Cheryl Strayed book. Seems so cool to be out there and hiking that far with no worries in the World. I don't even camp, but it sounds awesome.

  Finishing up A Walk in the Woods today. It has been a great listen.
  
  I had put in a bunch of holds for audiobooks with the library a while back, and after a pretty long wait almost all of them started to come in all at once. I now have the following to choose from for my next listen:
  
  The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams
  Churchill and Owell by Thomas E. Ricks
  The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck by Mark Manson
  Hillbilly Elegy by JD Vance
  The American Spirit by David McCullough
  Think Like a Freak by Steven D. Levitt
  
  I am leaning toward Hillbilly Elegy first, not sure what after that. I have between 14-16 days left on all of these books, I'd like to get through 3 on this list.

  I've read Hitchhiker's before. A very good read, if light-hearted sci-fi is a thing you can get into. Douglas Adams was a witty guy. Really, it's been a while since I've read it, but I recall the first three Hitchhiker's books to be really good. Don't think I liked the fourth (So Long and Thanks for All the Fish, I think) as much.

  Finished Norse Mythology and The Millionaire Next Door. I'm about 2/3 through All These Worlds by Dennis E. Taylor. It's the final book in a newer sci-fi trilogy that I started this spring. Great books, if you like sci-fi. Even better if you listen to audiobooks, as the narrater is the best in the business, IMO.

  The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich. I'm a Hitler/Nazi history junkie, but for some reason have never read this. I'm almost finished with it and I would say it is excellent if you want a detailed account of this period. Very well written and cited.

  You might also be interested, then, in Shirer's The Nightmare Years about the 1930's in Germany.

  Thank you for the recommendation. I will check it out. His writing is excellent and he was a first-hand witness to the whole thing.

  I'm finally getting around to finishing The Hobbit. I'm not sure what I'm going to get into next. I need a good new audiobook but I'm having trouble deciding what I want to get.

  Working on "Panacea" by F. Paul Wilson. I read thru the conclusion of the Repairman Jack series, looking forward to something different by Wilson. Looks interesting so far, I'm thru the first 3 chapters.
  
  Finished "Origin" by Daniel Brown recently - hated it. A great disappointment after a big build-up at the beginning. Quite unfortunate, because I had just read "The Lost Symbol" before that and found it to be very entertaining and interesting.

  How is Artemis? I really like The Martian so I'll read it at some point.

  Only three chapters in but I like it so far. I don't spend a lot of time reading so you'll likely finish up your two previously mentioned books and start/finish Artemis before I finish it.
