Yeah, I fixed that on mine.Scarlet_Buckeye;961835 wrote:At first I was having difficulty getting my Contacts that were synced with Google Sync to appear on my new iPhone 4S. Then, I was able to figure out how to get my Google Sync Contacts onto my iPhone 4S by using Account > Exchange > Mail, Contacts, Calendars. Two problems now...
(1) I can't figure out how to get my Contacts now from this "Exchange" to my iCloud, and
(2) My Google Calendar appears to be 'loaded' twice onto my iPhone 4S.
Can anyone help me with these issues? -

My calendars were doubled up, so I just took calendars off the iCloud, and had them sync manually.Scarlet_Buckeye;961868 wrote:... ? -

Took calendars off the iCloud. Let me look into that. Thanks!ernest_t_bass;961875 wrote:My calendars were doubled up, so I just took calendars off the iCloud, and had them sync manually.
Also, I thought all pictures were supposed to be uploaded automatically to Photo Stream. I've found them on Photo Stream (via my device), but is Photo Stream not tied into iCloud? How do you access Photo Stream from your computer? -
ernest_t_bass
Photo stream is not linked to iCloud. With my Mac, it is linked to iPhoto. They have to be turned on on both of them. You CANNOT delta photos off Photo Stream either. Only way to delete photos is to import them all into your iPhoto, then turn Photo Stream off and back on with both devices.Scarlet_Buckeye;961910 wrote:Took calendars off the iCloud. I believe you can access Photo Stream through the iCloud website.Scarlet_Buckeye;961910 wrote:Took calendars off the iCloud. Let me look into that. Thanks!

That's what I thought. But according to earnest's post above, that leads me to believe "no."se-alum;961987 wrote:I believe you can access Photo Stream through the iCloud website.
Which is it? -

Photo Stream is part of iCloud. Photos only upload to Photo Stream when you're connected to Wi-Fi. There is no way to delete just one photo from Photo Stream. You have to delete them all. I suspect that when it is out of beta, there will be an option to selectively delete from Photo Stream.Scarlet_Buckeye;962005 wrote:That's what I thought. Yeah. That is not cool at all. I don't like the idea of not being able to delete a photo. That is a terrible flaw.se-alum;962036 wrote:Photo Stream is part of iCloud. When I log onto the Cloud, I only see... Mail... Contacts... Calendar... Find My iPhone... iWork -

I know for a fact you can reset your photo stream through icloud.com.ernest_t_bass;962049 wrote:No, no you can't -

That's not what you said, though. You can not VIEW your photos from the cloud.se-alum;962096 wrote:I know for a fact you can reset your photo stream through icloud.com. -

If you can get past the lagging, locking up, and freezing that most phones seem to be plagued with after a year...sleeper;961849 wrote:Buy an Android phone. It just works. -
I Wear PantsI just bought a Samsung Focus S. I don't have to deal with bullshit lagging or problems with photos or contacts. Only problem I have to deal with is that there are currently like 3.5 apps in the store.

I am sure in due time MS will build out that app store. One thing nice about Windows Phone, they are very smooth.I Wear Pants;962520 wrote:I just bought a Samsung Focus S. Scarlet_BuckeyeI think I figured out the double calendar, double Gmail thing. I just simply switched those options to off on the Exchange; therefore I'm only using the 'Contacts' part from the Exchange. Still haven't figured out, however, how to get my Contacts from the Exchange to sync with iCloud. And I am kinda ticked that you cannot view photo stream photos from the iCloud. That's stupid.

Yeah, and it's got probably the easiest and best dev tools out of the three so I'm sure they'll come. Is it not workable for you to just forward one Gmail account to the other? I do that and works great.Scarlet_Buckeye;963146 wrote:... double Gmail thing. -
