Only you would notice those things and let it affect the movie for you

Exactly what I was thinking. Love the movie

It didn't bother you Leo spoke with an Irish accent one scene, and the next from California?

It was an ok movie. It wasn't great. IMDB.com has a 7.5 rating, for a Scorcese film that is decent, not great. Just like the film. I had many flaws.

Apparently I'm not the only one with that opinion.

Do you all think it may have been better if they had cast actors/actresses that werent really known for those parts? I know at times when watching movies with well known people you cannot help but be swayed a bit from their other works. It works if the roles are somewhat similiar but I almost rather watch movies with some that dont know.

In this case....you may be right. Not too spoil it for people that intend on seeing it....but I liked her at the beginning but then things just didn't fit

The Pianist is a well made movie but how did Adrien Brody beat DDL in '02 for best actor? DDL as Bill the butcher in Gangs was easily better than Brody.
Agreed that Brody was good, but not as good as DDL that year.

The answer to your question is--if you want to win an Oscar, either make or star in a Holocaust movie.

Didn't see anyone win anything for the boy in the striped pajamas...

DDL was completely better than he was, and made the film enjoyable despite its many, many flaws. I don't think it was that big of a travesty as Adrien Brody was very good. But with DDL it almost seems as if the Academy should just hand him his award - he is that good.

Speaking of which, why hasn't Gary Oldman won anything (leading or supporting) by now?
    Interesting. I agree with this.

Do yourself a favor and skip Wreck It Ralph.

Wreck It Ralph was a fresh idea and I dig that but I can only stand to listen to Sarah Silverman and Jane Lynch talk for so long.

Its free. I mean, I have 6 a month. No way can I watch that many movies without watching some stinkers or some I dont think I will like. But, Wreck it Ralph was up for an Oscar, so Ill watch. Plus, CoA liked it a lot, and he has similar tastes as I do, in the past.

I thought Wreck It Ralph was a cute kids movie. But my opinion sucks. I called it cute.

I see where Iran is suing the producers of Argo because it makes them look bad.

I think I have heard it all now.

Just wait until transmissions of Star Wars makes it deep enough into space that The Empire sees how they are portrayed...

It's not for everybody. That's for sure.

People who don't like 'The Master' probably prefer Michael Bay movies and the Rush Hour series.
