Agree, except for that one scene where he gets to meet his favorite actor.

Not sure if 21 & Over was talked about already on here, but I caught an advanced screening of it last night and I must say, it was actually pretty good. Without question, "Miller" (aka Miles Teller) stole the show. This kid has talent. Reminded me of a young Vince Vaughn. I had never heard of him before, but apparently he was in the latest remake of Project X (which, I never ended up catching). Also, the chick in this movie, (Sarah Wright) was quite gorgeous. Had never heard of her either before, but apparently she's 29 (which I was kinda surprised, because I figured she'd be a couple years younger).

It was a very solid movie. Reminded me a lot of Superbad, though, not quite as good. I was a little disappointed with the end, because I was keeping my fingers crossed that that would be the plot for the sequel and not the end to this one. The beginning was rushed a little bit, but once you got into the actual movie, it kinda made sense why. There were so many things that happened throughout the night that there's no way they could have had a "slower" introduction.

All in all, I'd give it a solid 7, 7.5... maybe even stretch it to an 8, but probably not.

I am a huge fan of Miles Teller. I love him in the Footloose remake. I follow him on Twitter and was able to follow along with the making of 21 & Over via his pics and updates. I was hoping it would turn out well.

Saw Jack the Giant Slayer last night. Terribly disappointed. Wasn't much of anything.

Saw 21 and Over tonight. I loved it. Certainly my kind of humor.

Going to see Dark Skies in a bit.

What in the world made you possibly think Jack the Giant Slayer would be any good?

And yes... 21 & Over was hysterical. Reminded me a lot of Superbad.

I didn't watch any previews/trailers of it so I was kind of hoping they did something exciting with it.

Ahhh... Bummer. Had you caught a preview, I'm almost certain you would have saved yourself whatever the local ticket price was. Sorry to hear that.

I considered JtGS but decided against it. It still made 29 mil this weekend somehow. Dark Skies probably won't be any better but I'm free so I'm going to give it a look.

I get unlimited movies for $25 at Marcus so no loss of money here. If I did pay per movie, I'd certainly check the previews first lol.

I'll probably see Dark Skies by myself tonight, tomorrow, or Thursday.

From the commercials, it does look like a good "catch a buzz and watch...stuff" film. And in my world, that is the only legitimate function of movies.

That is how I saw it.

Disappointing. Let me know what you think.

Does Oz come out this weekend? Might check that out. I haven't been to the movies in a few weeks.

I think so, its getting the same ratings as JtGS for what its worth. Might want to check out Redbox instead for something worth watching.

Oz is at 72 and Jack is at 53 on Rotten Tomatoes.

Edit: I just noticed it was 50 to 50 on Metacritic.

I know I'm going to be dissapointed in Oz. I've been waiting for that since the first trailer.

If I don't go tonight, I'm not going to be able to go. Forgot I volunteered to Supervise a basketball game Wednesday and Thursday. Fuck.

    Same.

Dark Skies was basically just adding plot between the previews. The ending was the only thing that wasn't shown in previews.

Yes, I mean I wasn't expecting a great movie but I was let down from what I expected.

[sp] Yeah. I thought it was a supernatural movie more than an alien movie. [/sp]
