I highly disagree with this. Drinking out of one glass vs. another may not make the beer taste completely different, but it's going to enhance certain aspects making the experience that much better. Not sure how many total glasses I have, but have maybe 10 different types of glasses and do use most of them on a regular basis depending on what I'm drinking. Depending on the beer, a certain glass can enhance the appearance, the aroma, and the drinkability of a beer. When I started out about 5 or 6 years ago, I drank most beers out of frozen mugs, now I hardly use any of mine because I think it takes away from the majority of the beers I drink now. Having said that, if I have no other option I have no problem drinking right from the bottle.

Do you use different glasses or mostly standard pint glasses? Like I said it's not going to dramatically change the flavor of a beer; rather certain aspects to make the beer more enjoyable. A good example would be drinking a 12% barleywine out of a pilsner glass. Pilsners are smooth easy drinking beers and the glass allows for that, it's pretty simple to down it quick. A big barleywine is going to be a sipper, so it'd be better to have a smaller glass like a chalice to drink from. Drinking a big beer that's meant for sipping from a pilsner glass wouldn't change the taste of the beer, but it would be much more convenient from a different glass.

I've had guinness, sam adams, stella, delirium, etc out of their signature glasses, regular pint glasses, and straight out the bottle - The only time i notice a difference is drinking it out of the bottle compared to pouring it.

Well, made the trip over to Indiana today and got my hands on some Three Floyds beer we can't get in Ohio. Got a 6-pack of Pride and Joy, a 6-pack of Alpha King, and a bomber of Arctic Panzer Wolf.

I'm like a kid on Christmas.

Where did you go in Indiana?

West Harrison. I think it was call like West Side Beer and Wine or something. They had quite a few 3F stuff that I didn't get, Robert the Bruce, Munsterfest, Black Sun Stout, and I think one more. A bunch of Fat Tire too.

Grabbed two 4-packs of Lake Erie Monster today. Haven't had it in about a year. Looking forward to having some this weekend.

How about a week ago I was at Bocktown in Pittsburgh and they were charging $8.50 for a bottle of Palate Wrecker. That just seemed ridiculous to me so I put it back. They had a great selection but were overpriced IMO. I did grab a Brooklyn Brewery Summer Ale, Pennant Ale and Black Chocolate Stout before leaving. Still haven't had any of them yet though.

Wow, price gouging at its finest for that Palate Wrecker. It's an expensive beer, but not THAT expensive.

And I've had the Brooklyn Black Chocolate Stout, I thought it was awfully boozy. Felt like it overpowered the other flavors. I'd like to try it again though, as I didn't let it breathe long enough to maybe pick up some of the chocolate malt flavors.

Man fuck you guys haha. $8.50 is standard for palate wrecker around here, just about any bomber really. Arrogant Bastard is only $6 but most others are $8.50 +

That's what I figured. That place is literally just feet inside of Indiana. I need to make it there one day. Tomorrow nite I'll be having some Fat Tire and some Abbey from New Belgium while in Colorado. Saturday's The Wife's birthday so were are going to Palisade Brewing where they are having some type of party at the Brewery. (sundress and sarongs ???) Then look for hard to find beer over the next couple of days.

I assumed he meant it was a 12 oz. Palate Wrecker. $8.50 for a bomber isn't bad compared to most bombers, until you compare it (38 cents/oz) to the 12 oz. bottles (25 cents/oz).

I bought mine for $3.99 for a single 12 oz.

I've yet to see Palate Wrecker in a Bomber. It might exist, but I've only seen it in 4 packs. That being said The Wife just called and said she just got some at the 'Hadji' mart by the house. That place usually carries some decent brew.

I've tasted two of the 3 3Fs beers I bought today.

Alpha King - Amber/golden American PA, very citrusy/hoppy, perfectly balanced, very good APA, good summer beer.
Pride and Joy - This is actually a lighter version of Alpha King IMO, more subtle on the citrus hops, lower ABV, more of a session beer, but for what it is, very good.

    Up next: Arctic Panzer Wolf

Have you had any of their stuff? I've had their IPA, it's fantastic.

I like it a lot, usually pick up a few 4 packs every winter. I've got 1 sitting in my fridge left over from this past winter, just never opened it. Part of me wants to drink it, but I'm going to try and hang on to it for a while.

I have not and I get mad at gorocks every time he mentions Lagunitas...lol This trip I will have some.

Odd that they don't sell it in Cincinnati since I've seen a bunch of Lagunitas in Youngstown.

Also, just tried the Arctic Panzer Wolf......ohhhhhhh boy is this stuff good. It has that tropical fruit notes like a.....Lake Erie Monster for instance.....but I think a little more pine notes. Excellent IIPA.

Yes, I was talking about a 12 oz. bottle of Palate Wrecker. I don't have a problem paying $8.50 for some bomber only stuff but for a 12 oz. bottle? Fuck that unless it's the best beer ever.

Truth, even the KBS evens out to $5 a bottle in a 4 pack setting.
