Can't believe anybody would pay that much for it. There are bottles of Westy 12 on there for $24.

Does anyone subscribe to any beer mags? I've been thinking about getting the Beer Advocates magazine.

I've had a sip of the Westy 12 before. It would be worth every bit of that. I loved the aroma. Very complex on the nose.

I would not spend $25.00 for a bottle for KBS. It's not as good as the Westy 12. (IMO) That and I do believe it's harder to get the Westy.

I wouldn't spend $25 on a bottle either. Honestly I'd think about buying the KBS again. I probably would to keep around and have one on a special occasion, but honestly there are beers I like more and would rather have that are $10-$13 for a 4/6 pack.

I might not do it regularly, but at least once, I have to try it.

That's how I felt about KBS. $23 for a 4 pack is pretty steep and wouldn't do it regularly. But once a year I'd def buy one.

I read for a limited time they are going to sell gift packs in the US to bring in a little extra cash to keep the monastery going. Some time this year but I don't know what the distribution will look like. I'm assuming it still won't be easy to get, people will be hoarding it.

Felt the same way with Barrel-Aged Blackout Stout from GL.

The Wife subscribes to All About Beer and recently subscribed to Draft Magazine. I believe that's what it's called.
I just follow many on twitter that has to do with beer.

Bourbon Barrel Aged Dark Lord w/ Vanilla Beans by Three Floyds is going for like $400 a bottle (22 oz) on eBay.

Also, the word on the street is Founders is brewing and selling Breakfast Stout all year long starting this fall. Before it was only sold from like Dec-Mar or something like that. Since they use the Breakfast Stout to create KBS, I'd assume it will increase the supply of KBS as well.

I am going to buy more, next time I run into it, no one in my town sells it.

Sounds like you need to move.

I can't move, and I am in Mansfield a couple of times a week the Kroger's over there sells it, so I will have to keep buying it there.

Not sure, but Russian River is available to order on letspour.com but they do charge an arm and a leg to ship it to you.

Where in the hell can you find one? I've never seen one in the wild.

They don't distribute in the midwest/east with the exception of the Philadelphia market.

West coast and Phily; think I looked it up earlier in the thread. I was lucky enough to meet someone who brought back a few bottles from Cali and got one.
  • Sonofanump
I'll be in Phily in July and plan on trying to find some somewhere.

If you go to Russian River's website, they literally have like Excel spreadsheets with every single store that sells it. It's pretty sweet.

Buddy of mine just sent me a pic of St. Bernardus Tripel. It's a belgian Abbey Ale. He said it was terrific. I looked it up on BA, it rated a 97. Have any of you ever tried it?
  • Commander of Awesome
I haven't. I really like Tripels though, so I'll keep an eye out for it.

Had some Troegs for lunch yesterday. The Smoky Bones in Picktown has them on tap.
