Too each his own and that is why we buy singles!
Ironic as I actually was drinking mine in front of a fireplace, with a fire going. I did finish all four of them last night. Ouch yesterday morning/afternoon. I didn't mean to, but they were tasting that good.
It's a hop night tonight. After I started with an Oberon. Double Trouble, Hoptitum, maybe a Hopslam finish. I haven't got to the finish yet. -

Very nice. -
I Wear PantsPaid less than $200 for it too. Awesome deal. Thing is heavy as hell and very nicely made. There's even a casino-esque table if you remove the top of the bar which is cool.

Beer Wars. I suggest any one on this thread that hasn't seen it watch it.
No beer for me yet. Having some wine. -
Commander of AwesomeWhat channel is beer wars on? I've never heard of it and don't feel like googling it. I'm lazy, sue me.
Went to a bar this weekend that had Founders KBS in bottles but each were $10. I passed. Went to the store, the guy told me they had it, but were out in hours. (The founders KBS is the beer you guys consistently talk about on here right? And not the Kentucky Bourbon Barrel stuff?) -
Commander of AwesomeNvrmd, I found it on Hulu.
-
Curly JYep Founders KBS is the Stuff and hard to get and pricy. I was able to get a 4 pack of it the other day and I have 2 saved. Already had 2 this year, well shared 2 with The Wife.
-
Commander of AwesomeI'm starting to get friendly with the guys at the place. They were showing me some barley wine that they were excited about ($16.99, too rich for my blood, esp for a bottle) and I acted interested. I'm not a huge barley wine fan but they thought this was something special. Any fans here?

No, in fact I haven't ever even seen it. However Stone is in the running for my favorite brewery so if I see it next time I'm there I'll pick it up. Have yet to have an even mediocre beer from them.BORIStheCrusher;1134980 wrote:Have you had Stone Old Guardian? Very good and is usually decent price. -

Yep and limited release at that. The place where I buy my beer only got 5 cases.Commander of Awesome;1134968 wrote:I'll keep an eye out for it, is it seasonal? -
Fred FlintstoneHad a couple Moylan's Danny's Irish Reds tonight at a place in Chicago. Very nice, great copper color and a nice smooth taste.
-
Curly JHaving the DFH 75 Minute IPA. Im having some difficultly picking up the Maple Syrup...but could care less due to the NCAA Finals result.
-
Commander of AwesomeHaving a Bear Republic XP Pale Ale. Guy at the liquor store was talking it up plus running an end cap on it.
Pretty mild I'd say, decen't, but wouldn't be chomping on the bit to drink it again. Be a nice beer to have in the summer sitting outside I suppose. Not even sure if this is a thing or I sound like an idiot, but it just doesn't have a strong enough taste for my liking, very weak after taste. When it first hits my tongue I think oh nice, then leaves a bud light aftertase. Very odd. -

I havent seen this in quite some time around here. One of these days I'm going to pick up a 90 min 4 pack and a 120 bottle to try and taste back to back.Curly J;1135266 wrote:Having the DFH 75 Minute IPA. Commander of AwesomeI've never seen 120 min in a 4 pack, only the big bottles. I shall have to keep on the look out.
-
iclfan2Drinking a smuttynose IPA, nothing special, but the best the little convenience store has. Great Lakes has come out with a Belgium/IPA mix that I'd like to try soon. I think it is only available at the brew pub.

Belly35Yesterday after a long day I stop by Giant Eagle and pick up some "Waterloo Dark" $7.99 six pack
Very good, smooth, no after taste, little sweet but still good.... I would suggest other try it.. -
Commander of Awesome[h=1]Cheers! Drinking a pint of beer a day is GOOD for you, say experts[/h] By Tom Worden

Says cheers with beers: The drink contains folic acid, vitamins, iron and calcium
It's a favourite pub tipple that has been blamed for ever expanding waistlines in the UK.
But drinking a pint of beer every day is good for your health, according to a surprising study.
Spanish researchers said moderate consumption of ale and lager can reduce the risk of diabetes and high blood pressure and can even help people lose weight.
They added that the infamous British beer belly can be blamed on an Anglo-Saxon culture with too many fatty takeaways and binge drinking.
Dr Ramon Estruch and Dr Rosa Lamuela tested 1,249 men and women over 57 years old for their study 'Beer, Mediterranean diet and cardiovascular disease.'
They found those who accompanied a Mediterranean diet with up to a pint of beer 'not only did not put on weight, but in some cases even lost weight.'
Doctors found beer provides the same health benefits already attributed to moderate consumption of wine.
Beer contains folic acid, vitamins, iron and calcium, which the study claims provide a 'protective' effect on the cardiovascular system. It also has a relatively low alcohol content compared to other beverages.
British drinkers 'drink large quantities, almost without moving from one spot, while eating fried chips'
The subjects who regularly drank moderate amounts of beer were less likely to suffer from diabetes and high blood pressure, and had a lower body fat content.
Dr Lamuela said: 'In this study we banish myths. We know that beer is not to blame for obesity.'
There are around 200 calories in a pint of lager - the equivalent of a cafe latte with full fat milk.
Dr Estruch said Spanish beer drinkers did not resemble their British counterparts who 'drink large quantities, almost without moving from one spot, while eating fried chips and sausages.'
That unhealthy combination was the cause of the British beer gut, they said.
Instead they suggested women should drink two small glasses of beer a day while men should drink three, combined with a healthy diet and exercise.
The joint study by Barcelona University, the Hospital Clinic in Barcelona and the Carlos III Institute of Health in Madrid, was published yesterday.
