I might try it again if I can get another bottle, I think the fact that I drank it right after 2 Nugget Nectars could have made a difference too. But it wasn't that the spices were too overpowering, I mostly think they didn't go together well. Was like a really minty brown ale.Curly J;1110713 wrote:Maybe let it age and see if the spices tone down. -

Have yet to have a Stone beer that I don't love. I will have to try the combo that you mentioned earlier to see if I have the same experience. I'm becoming obsessed with Stone Brewery. Its easily my favorite at the moment. Double Bastard is the GOAT beer.BORIStheCrusher;1110714 wrote:Agreed, and I think this beer gets overlooked a lot since they have so many other great beers. -
Mooney44CardsDrinking a bomber of Anderson Valley's IPA. It's meh.

I Wear PantsWent to Market Garden Brewery, GL Brew Pub, and Bar Cento/Bier Market last night. Was a good time.
-
justincredibleHad a Victory Hop Devil on tap at dinner. Love that IPA.
-
Curly JWas at BJ's earlier. Had a Rivertown Hop Baron on tap. I will say it is better on tap than in the bottle.
Now sitting at Gordo's pub. Had a Founders Centennial. Now another Rivertown beer, the Roebling Imperial Porter. I really like this porter. Nice vanilla and coffee flavor to it. Might just have to have another then go buy a sixer of it. -
Mooney44CardsNow I'm sippin on a bomber of Ruination IPA from Stone. Fucking delicious.

We like the Rivertown Porter. Wife got that last night when I got the shitty IPA. She didn't hate the IPA so we ended up switching.Curly J;1111827 wrote:Was at BJ's earlier. Had a Rivertown Hop Baron on tap. I will say it is better on tap than in the bottle.

I haven't had the Moerlein IPA, but I've had you lover and I stand beside my statement. She only loves you because of the money you make off this site...just trying to help.
Okay now maybe it is time for a warm Hopslam. -
gerb131Rockmill Trip was pretty good. Not as good as some other takes but I'd drink it again plus the brewery is 10mins away.

Picked up a bottle of Jolly Pumpkin Weizen Bam a bit ago. Have it in the fridge now and looking forward to drinking it tonight! -
Commander of AwesomeI looked at that beer on Sunday, couldn't bring myself to drop $12.99 on it though.
-
BORIStheCrusherDrinking the Weizen Bam now, easily the best new beer I've had in a while. This will be an awesome beer to drink in a couple months when its hot out.

I guess I'm lucky, paid $9.99, although some are higher. Most JP beers are worth the price though.Commander of Awesome;1114142 wrote:I looked at that beer on Sunday, couldn't bring myself to drop $12.99 on it though. -

I feel like Sierra Nevada and Dogfish Head are the go-to beers when all else fails since they can be found almost everywhere. Magic Hat is found almost everywhere too, but their beers are just so underwhelming. I don't think I've had one that I've actually genuinely liked. -
Commander of AwesomeI agree on magic hat, not a huge fan. They're good, but for the price you can get better beers.

killer_ewokI can't wait 'til Thursday. NCAA tourney and beers. I've been on this antibiotic for over a week now. Just two more days and I'll be done with it and then I'm enjoying some brews. A high of 74 degrees on Thursday too. Might go with Founders All Day IPA session ale.

Mooney44CardsBy the way, this is awesome and I hope it comes to Ohio:
