Hey Curly, you guys have room that you can save bottles for me? I'm trying to stockpile for future homebrew batches.

I'm drinking Flying Dog Double Dog DIPA; not that great. I don't really care much for their beers except Gonzo, great beer.

I found a Fort Collins Brewery Rocky Mountain IPA in the fridge. It's quite good. Hoppy as hell.

Unfortunately no. That's why I've only done a Mr Beer kit in the past. My Condo is just under 1000 square feet and is bulging at the seems thanks to The Wife's Dad. He pretty much emptied out a storage unit of stuff HE thought we needed....Okay, I'll see what I can do about saving you some bottles and dropping them off to you one day. I might even bring one from the stash to drink with you.

Ahh, don't worry about it then. I'll hit up some other people.

But if you happen to finish a bomber or two right before the tailgate you can bring them down. :)

No no no no. You must all save bottles for me. I only have around 150 in my stockpile.

I've got enough for a batch and a half, roughly. I'm bottling my first batch tomorrow.

I'm making a yeast starter tomorrow and brewing when my brother gets home. Should be fun. We'll drink my stockpile of beers while doing it. Great times.

Fuck that Shit !!! I already save up enough bottles to make one trip to the recycling bin up the street. I'll just rinse them out, once they are poured, and put them aside for you. When I have enough for a Jeep load I'll hit you up and make the trip. Remember I said I'll bring along a Special Stashed beer for us to try when I drop them off. Or I'll even take request beers that I might have or can get. I believe I do have a box of new Bombers bottles that I bought a while back, but never used...Plus I need to hang out in your Garage again so you can explain more about the stains from the latest Mod Party.

Don't normally drink the same beer over and over, but I've noticed that Pumking is going to be on it's way out soon so I bought two more bottles today.... and drank them both durring the Osu game. I'm a little tipsy. Last weekend one of the stores neer me that had a ton when it came out went from 10 bottles on saturday to 1 bottle on sunday.

Yes do tell. Always interesting to hear different people's takes on the same beer.

Great Lakes Commodore Perry - It was alright but don't think I will get it again.

Wells banana bread - I actually really enjoyed it. Will definitely buy it again.

Sam Adams Octoberfest - I really enjoyed it. Will definitely buy it again.

I totally agree. To much bitterness, not enough flavoring hops. It tastes like an ESB as apposed to an IPA. If it was labeled as an ESB I'd say it was a damn good ESB. (For the ones not sure of what an ESB is, it means Extra Special Bitter...not a typo for ETB)

Only had this once and it took a while to finish the 6-pack. While good it can be overpowering where one is enough for now. I might buy single bottles of this if I could.

I had this the other night. It's alright. Not the best Sam Adams beer, but not the worst I've had from them. Maybe it was because it was my last beer of the night and didn't stand up to the pumpkin beers I had. (I know it's a different style, but I can't remember anything that stood out about it...or that night for that matter)

Currently having a Delirium Tremens. Very solid, flavorful beer.

I know World Market sells single bottles of these. They're bigger than a 12 oz bottles though.

I know what you mean about over powering, I had a pumpkin beer last night (Schlafly Pumpkin Ale) that I felt the same way, The Wells Banana Bread though might be top 5 favorite beer. 6 pack would not last through 2 nights in my house.

I just found a Corsendonk Christmas Ale in the back of my fridge that I forgot about (bottle self behind the meat drawer. Its from last season but has been in the fridge since I bought it. Anyone know if its still good? Its still corked and hasn't been opened. Whats the time table for beers?
  • THE4RINGZ
Sam Adams Octoberfest for me tonight. I had both Sam Adams and Great Lakes Octoberfest beers yesterday, prefer the Sam Adams.

It's a Belgium Strong Ale Above 8% so it should age okay. Maybe even better now...If it was mine I'd drink it !!!

Which Sam Adams beer do you consider the best?

Kinda putting me on the spot as they have over 18 plus beers. (not including the Long Shots and the like)

I can tell you my least favorite is their Flagship beer, Boston Lager. I'm just not into Lagers period. I'm an Ale guy.

Chocolate Bock..overrated. Good, but not the awesome beer that people make it out to be. I even like their Double Bock better than that one and like I said earlier I'm not a Lager fan.

What I do like is their Imperial series. They are some great beers, all of them. Maybe the Imperial Stout most. (I'm a Stout guy)

The one I most drink from them is the Cherry Wheat. In fact that is the ONLY beer I'll drink out of the bottle. After the third beer it develops a little Prune flavor, but I like Prunes so that's good for me. I really do like this one the most so far...

...I say so far because I've never tried their Utopias. The Wife and I have been tempted to buy it, but haven't pulled the trigger on it. A friend of mine had a few samples of it years ago. He said it was like Honey on Wood...with a huge smile on his face which means it was a good thing. I'm sure one day I'll break down and buy the Utopias or two...It's stupid to pay that much, but I gotta know how it is for myself.

I had to put you on the spot. There are a lot of beers I have yet to try and you seem to be an "experienced beer drinker." Ha I've had two kinds of Sam Adams now. Summer Ale and Octoberfest. I like and would buy both again. I was checking out their site and there are a bunch I would like to try.
