Today I grabbed my first 4 pack of DFH Punkin Ale of this year. Close to finishing my 3rd bottle and have a really nice buzz going. Good amount of pumpkin, lots of spices, and lots of alcohol. A very good beer, glad finally I picked this up, it's been a while. -

I recall someone saying they had tried the banana bread beer but I couldn't remember who and I wasn't going to scroll through all of the beer threads to find it so I have a question. Is it any good?
Also has anyone tried Woodchuck hard cider or any other kind of hard cider? -

There were a few of us who said we tried the banana bread beer. Again, not bad but it wasn't as good as I thought it would be and I love banana bread. I've had woodchuck. Tasty. More of a summer drink. Very carbonated and sweet. Pretty good at the right time of year but I can't drink more than a few at a time even then. -

Thanks for the reviews. I found a wine shop that supposedly sells all different kinds of beer. I'm glad you liked it. That one was a last second grab when I was putting that collection together for you. If you like that one then you'll really like the others...if you are into stouts. That one and the Stingo were the only non stouts I gave you.
Try a few different ciders. Woodchuck is on the sweet side, but they have a variety of flavors which is cool. Hornsby's is more dry which I prefer in a cider. Harpoon's is really nice and balanced with nice apple flavor and very crisp finish. Then there is Strongbow which is Strongbow...a nice traditional English cider. I'm about 'pumpkin beered' out, but The Wife isn't so the rest in the fridge is hers. I've went through 2 bottles of the Stones 15th Anny Ale over the past couple of days. I love that beer and got to get some more this weekend. Tonight it's a little wine then maybe that bottle of Three Philosophers that's chillin in the fridge. -

I'm going to be brewing an apfelwine as soon as I break down and buy myself a carboy. It's basically Strongbow but the total prep time to get it fermenting is about 20 minutes. Apple juice, dextrose, wine yeast, done. Let it sit for 2 months. Total cost will be right around $20 for 5 gallons. And it'll get you fucked up right quick.

Yeah, Woodchuck is available at the grocery store I have been going to for my new beers. Sounds like I would rather try Hornsby's, Harpoon's, and Strongbow over Woodchuck and go figure Woodchuck is the easiest to find in my area. That is my luck with beer. I need to move.
