athlete37Not anymore, I got mine in before they closed. Funny how the Stoops odds went from 20/1 to 12/1 to 10/1 to off the board within a couple days...

athlete37The Friday timeline isn't coming from the original source, so if Stoops is announced later please don't get your throwing arms and stones ready lol

Hamp89How's the original source feeling?

Hope your right bro! All indications seem to point to Stoops, again, I hope it happens. -

Could you be a bigger dork. Try this on for size brainiac. I attended, and played for STEUBENVILLE CATHOLIC CENTRAL. Our nickname, the Crusaders. man, are you, or could you be that stupid?Tiernan wrote: Nuthin' wrong with a PBR now & then. And crusader you didn't deny the Moeller slam so I pegged that right on the nob didnt I? And the Famine took place 1844 - 1848, so guess what... after 160 yrs, slight comical reference is permitted. So ND Potato Famine Fans, your Famine for Success continues.
I guess so. -
Pescara71And the potatoe famine was english(protestant, vs. Irish (Catholic), even if the bristish didn't introduce the potatoe blithe, they sured capitalized off of it. The English stole that Island from starving Irish and blockaded any food relief, actually the Irish grew enough Potatoes to feed themselves, this is documented. Just not after the English took their cut of the potatoes were the Irish starving. So I geuss it was human vs human, with religion as a scapegoat but english greed as the true culprit. And the Irish later was handed a gun by the NEW englanders and told to fight the south in the Civil war. The Engish(Protestant) / Irish (Catholic) hatred is well documented, I know this much just off the top of my head, and I'm neither Irish or English. Thsat I know of, atleast.

TiernanI guess I was mistakin...because nobody would lie about being from Steubenville unless it were absolutely true. My condolences man, seriously that had to really suck growing up there.
Anyway back to the thread...Brian Kelly will be ordained after the Cinci game on Sat. Do they confirm it with a puff of white smoke crusader? -
athlete37sjmvsfscs08, the source for that is a random twitter update from a dude in Texas. Everyone seems to be shooting down his credibility.
-
sjmvsfscs08Are you saying I shouldn't get my hopes up?!
-
TiernanI hope its Kirk Ferentz...another 3rd tier pick in a long line of 3rd tier picks.

King CurtisBleacher Report is a joke.
Did you read the "quote" they had from Stoops?
I got a chuckle out of that -

Actually, the articles are based on a poster on ISD (who everyone is also discrediting). But athlete, this guy has a timeline that is eerily similar to yours...athlete37 wrote: sjmvsfscs08, the source for that is a random twitter update from a dude in Texas. QUOTE from Irish Sports Daily
I can report to you today that Bob Stoops has not only agreed in principal to a deal but has actually signed the contract earlier today. I suspect a press conference will be called for Friday but it depends on how Stoops wants to approach OU.
This is not from a 'source'- I am the source. My brother works at the agency that has worked behind the scene since shortly after the Pitt game. No academic restrictions were lifted- insulting for anyone to raise that issue. The terms of the contract are straightforward and will not be discussed openly and will not be released publicly. I can tell you the issue centered about guaranteed money which is something we were concerned with but we have access to this required money and at this stage we will not be left short of our goals because of money- that was a fault of Mr. Kevin White.
Stoops desire to come to Notre Dame is an effort to build back ND like he did at OU. The talent is there and Stoops sees his legacy in more of restoring luster than maintaining programs. Stoops has been the ONLY target ND has reached out to. Brian Kelly, etc have never gotten a call from the agency or ND. From what I was told- Meyer had his chance back in 2005 and that ship has sailed. Stoops reportedly said "Bring on USC" when he signed the deal.
ps- I dont need more friends or 'phantom supporters' from a message board. I report this to you today because I have the information and ND could use a shot of good old fashion 'good news'. I signed up today to provide this information and after the press conference on (I think Friday- could be Saturday) I will leave this site. -
TeabaggerIt does kinda seem legit, I just don't want this to turn into the debacle with Michigan and Les Miles. I honestly think he was on his way to Michigan but didn't want to be called a liar like saban. I wish everyone would leave this alone and let Stoops sign on his terms. I'm just happy we have an insider of sorts with athlete being on this site. Think about if athlete revealed all of his info 2 weeks ago, we might have people all over the country talking about freehuddle. Haha. For the record...I do believe everything athlete has said and hope it all does end up the way he said it would.

enigmaaxCould all be true and that's great. But the dude claiming to be the "source" really isn't that, since he goes on to say that he got the info from his brother, who works at the agency handling the deal. But then he keeps talking about "we", as though he had something to do with it.
And yeah, the Meyer shipped has sailed. He had his chance to NOT win two national championships so screw him, we don't need him. Riiiight.
Would Stoops really be asking for USC after the hurt they put on him last time around? -

As a matter of fact, growing up in Steubenville was a great experience. You wouldn't know because you weren't there.Tiernan wrote: I guess I was mistakin...because nobody would lie about being from Steubenville unless it were absolutely true. athlete37I don't know if this is the point of your post, but I actually did reveal all of this to anyone who asked when I posted this thread exactly two weeks ago... lol

sjmvsfscs08Also found this out there:
"As mentioned before, most universities hire an outside consultant to look at a number of candidates and use back channels to communicate about coaching positions. In this day and age, obviously information needs to be kept confidential when peoples’ jobs are being talked about and that is the way it’s done now.
From the information I have gathered, the consultant that represents Notre Dame has talked to people from the Stoop’s party and have an agreement in place verbally for him to accept the job.
So, when Bob Stoops says he hasn’t talked to Notre Dame, he’s telling the truth. When Jack Swarbrick says he hasn’t talked to any coaches, he’s telling the truth. A middle man (lack of a better term) handles these things confidentially.
What I have heard from five different sources is that the Stoop’s party has agreed verbally to most of the contract between the two parties and is just waiting to get the final word on if his financial demands are going to be met by Notre Dame."

I absolutely buy that. -
