FSU @ Carolina
-
ironman02Noles (19-7, 7-5 ACC) at Heels (14-13, 3-9 ACC)
FSU needs a win to help solidify its NCAA resume and Carolina just needs a win. -
ironman02Both teams pretty hot from the field early on.
Henson actually made a pair of free throws. 12-10 FSU. -
ironman0220-12 FSU at the under 12 timeout.
Carolina not guarding the perimeter, missing every shot they take after a decent start, and now turning the ball over as usual. -
ironman02FSU 6-9 from behind the arc so far. Unbelievably awful perimeter D.
-
ironman02Graves with the throw down...maybe that will get these guys goin.
-
ironman02Drew II and Strick giving the ball away on almost every possession. Roy is about to blow a gasket.
29-16 FSU. -
slingshot4everJust curious has a team who has won the NCAA championship missed both the tourney and the NIT the following year?
-
ironman02I don't know. Look it up.
-
ironman02This team is clearly not trying, and even Hubert Davis has said it tonight.
The defensive effort is just sad. -
ironman0238-27 at the under 4 timeout. Carolina showing a pulse, but it's a weak one.
-
ironman02Drew II hammered at the rim...no call.
-
ironman02FSU hitting every three they take, even if it's from about 5 feet behind the line.
-
ironman02This is painful to watch. Turnovers, missed lay-ups, defensive lapses.
-
ironman02Another three just before the buzzer for FSU.
48-33 at the half.
I'm gonna take a wild guess and say this one's over. -
ironman02Carolina shoots 52% from the field in the 1st half and they're down by 15. Unreal.
I guess when your opponent shoots 53% and 60% from three-point range, it's not too surprising.
Terrible D and 10 turnovers for Carolina, not to mention 4-7 from the FT line. Same old story, unfortunately. -

I did and could not find the answer which is why I asked, chill.ironman02 wrote: I don't know. Look it up. -
ironman02The NIT is allowed to take a team that's under .500 now, if I remember correctly.
I think I read that no NIT has been below .500 though, even with the new rule.
It'll be up to the NIT if they want this awful team or not. -
ironman0256-36.
Same effort as the first half. You would think these guys might have a little more pride than this. -
swamisezWish the camera would show the empty seats at the Dean Dome tonight.
I can't remember a time when so many Carolina fans straight bailed on their squad. Goes to show, no matter how good you have been if you fail to show effort, people will turn on you. -
ironman02Yeah, the crowd is pretty depressing tonight. No energy in the building whatsoever, and no energy from the players either.
-
ironman02There is no excuse for this effort defensively. If I was Roy, I'd pull every one of those guys and play the walk-ons.
These guys are embarrassing the name on the front of the jersey. If they were playing hard and losing, that would be acceptable. They're just not playing hard at all. -
reclegend22What's Carolina record at home this season?
I wonder what's going on in Roy's head right now.. I'm not kidding around, I'd honestly like to know. I can't imagine how a coach who's been as successful as he has reacts to a near 60-38 deficit at home during game 28. Man. -
ironman02Off the top of my head, I think this is loss #5 at home, but it may be more.
-
ironman02At least Graves can shoot.
He may end up being huge for next year's team. -
wildcats20Honestly, I have never been embarrassed as a Carolina fan.
Until now.
This is fucking pathetic. I'm all for letting the walk-ons play. At least they will dive on the floor when the ball is RIGHT in front of you(TYLER ZELLER)
