FSU @ Carolina
-
wildcats20L Mac has been giving some good minutes lately
-
ironman02Glad he got the offensive board after Graves' stupid shot.
-
wildcats20Seriously?? Good God
-
ironman02Who the hell is Durand Scott? Why does someone like this always have a career night against Carolina?
-
ironman02Get a good shot here! Last two shots have been AWFUL.
-
ironman02Make the free throws Will! Make the damn things!
-
ironman02Will Graves stepping it up.
Now it's time to play some D. -
wildcats20There we go.
Win 2000.
And a great game from Marcus on senior night. -
ironman02Marcus with the board.
Goin to the line for a chance at the double-double. -
ironman0211, 11, and 5 for MG.
And another board and goin to the line again. -
wildcats20Make that 13, 12 and 5
-
wildcats20I for one am going to be sad to see Ginyard go. Before the injuries, he was one of the best defensive players I have seen in a long time.
And I will definitely be sad to see Deon go as well. -
ironman02Win #2000.
Couldn't beat UK to the milestone victory, but still impressive. Need to keep winning now and stay ahead of KU.
And Deon and Marcus get their standing ovations. -
ironman02
Same here. This season has been hard on both of them, but they have stuck with it. Both players contributed a ton to the Carolina program. Ginyard's injuries have really taken a toll on him, but he has done the best he could with the skill set that he possesses. Deon had some lofty expectations placed on him, and he has done a respectable job under the circumstances. Two seniors that will truly be missed.wildcats20 wrote: I for one am going to be sad to see Ginyard go. Before the injuries, he was one of the best defensive players I have seen in a long time.

ironman02wildcats,
Have you seen a link that will show the senior speeches? There's usually one somewhere on IC, but I haven't found one yet. -
wildcats20I agree. Deon had to play 2nd fiddle to Psycho T his whole career and this was supposed to be his year. It obviously wasn't a great year for him, but you're right Iron. Without him, I am unsure the Championship would have been won last year.
-
wildcats20Haven't really looked. But I know tarheelblue.com will have them in the next day or so most likely.
-
wildcats20And as a good sign going into this weekend at CIS.
The Carolina women beat the 6th ranked Duke women 64-54 on Sunday. -
ironman02Yep, Deon was definitely a huge piece of the national title puzzle. He capitalized off the double teams that Hansbrough was drawing and made some big plays throughout the season, and during the title run.
I'll probably just have to check out the senior speeches in the next couple days, like you said. If I find a link in the next few minutes, I'll post it, but I still haven't seen one. -
ironman02Going into CIS, or HIS, is obviously going to be quite a challenge, but the Heels should be as confident as they have been all season. Ginyard and Thompson know what it's like to play, and win, there. Best rivalry in college basketball, so let's hope it brings out the best in Carolina. Man, wouldn't it be great to spoil ANOTHER senior night?

HeelzMan I just realized my buddies wedding is this Saturday!
Anyway I agree you can tell MG 's injuries have slowed him down alot, but a great career none the less. As for DT he had a big impact on the championship team with playing in TH shadow but was an important piece and I'm gonna miss that smooth turnaround jumper. -
wildcats20Heelz...The game isn't til 9 PM.
-
HeelzThe wedding doesn't start till 6:30.....Who the f*ck does this? its UNC vs Dook!!!
-
ironman02Ugghh, the dreaded wedding on the day of the big rivalry game.
I feel your pain, Heelz. Unfortunately, this type of things has happened to me in the past. I say this with a completely straight face...people should be much more considerate of major sporting events when setting a wedding date.
