Tuscaloosa Rednecks vs a Guy Named Dabo

In their first game. Last season OSU lost to a team tied for last in their division. 9-10th best team in the ACC last year. I'd say they bounced back nicely. Wouldn't you?

They jumped OSU after beating USC and that was a joke.

USC got beat in their bowl game, Oregon and Northwestern both sucked and lost their bowl game (Mich St as well knocking OSU back a smidge) Stanford's top win going into their virtual home bowl game was a nail biting win at home versus Notre Dame....who Ohio State beat with much more ease.

1 more loss and wins not any better than OSU. Notre Dame knows who was the better team.

Having 1 less loss, having a loss to a team in the playoffs, and Stanford losing to northwestern is a much better argument for osu being ahead of Stanford.
What makes their conference awful? Their 1-2 record vs Big 10 in bowl games?

It's a joke to win your conference championship and be ranked ahead of someone who didn't even qualify for theirs? Why?

And based on your criteria, can you explain to me why Iowa was ranked ahead of both of them?

No one in the CFP, average teams outside of Stanford, poor bowl season.

Not saying the B1G is any better but also not using conference championship as an argument.

Why are you putting so much weight on conference championships?

Who had the better regular season:
    Team A 11-1, 1 loss to a top 4 team
Team B, 10-2, 2 losses to borderline top 25 teams.

Don't be bitching when they put two SEC teams in over 2 conference champions.

Pac12 had the 2nd best bowl season of any conference.

Who cares where anyone finished in the rankings. It's Alabama and then a bunch of losers...

Yeah they went undefeated the rest of the way. Something Stanford couldn't do.

It happened 4 years ago. It'll happen again.

The SEC is overrated. Nice argument!

What you and I think doesn't matter at all. It's happened once, it can happen again. Whether it's the ACC, P12 or SEC, it can happen again. I don't mention the Big 10 because no one on here would complain about that.

Then mention the fact that they lost two games rather than singling out one loss that happened in the very start of the season.

Stanford? Why are we talking about Stanford? Stanford is straight garbage and has never won ANYTHING. They've won nothing! Fucking zero.

It should never happen if it didn't happen this year. The best team in CFB played ND in the Fiesta Bowl.

    This.

LOL arguing over the AP poll.

I don't get the SEC hate. Say what you will about the Big 10 but the bottom half of the conference was terrible

And the SEC was just as bad, if not worse.

I'm talking about THIS YEAR. You're talking about hypothetical situations.

No conference really had a good bowl season, other than the SEC.

Just because they were 2nd best doesn't really mean anything.

The fact that they have lost two games has been mentioned ad nauseum but you keep arguing in circles. You asked why two big ten teams should be ranked ahead of them. I gave you a reason.

2 losses should outweigh a conference championship

Because every conference is different. How good are the wins and losses of each team.

Edge to Stanford if they only had 1 loss, edge to OSU since Stanford had 2.

    Per AP rankings...

    Stanford beat #9 handily and #11 in a nail-biter at home.....lost to #19 and #23

Ohio State beat #11 and #12 both handily and lost to #6

Getting way too much credit for beating a 6 loss USC team
