Tuscaloosa Rednecks vs a Guy Named Dabo

Alabama might need that timeout they needlessly burned there.
  • Sonofanump
Can't take those timeouts with you Dabo. Just lost 38 seconds.

A delusional non-player behind the restricted line? No.

I was hoping that fumble on the 2pt try would have gone into the end zone and recovered by Clemson, then watch the shitstorm when the score would have been waived off.

ANother year of SEC nuthugging by ESPN

Clemson has a lot of potential guys who could declare on defense, but their offense returns Watson, Gallman, Scott, Renfrow, Cain and Leggett. They are going to be fun to watch next year. They have at least 5 Juniors who could leave off the defense though...

They came up short though. No doubt that group will be motivated to achieve what they didn't. Big difference from OSU...

They did poorly last season and this year was still SEC nuthugging. The SEC could go 0-8 in bowl games to all blow out losses and they will still have the most teams ranked pre-season and ESPN will still toot their horn.

To be fair, the SEC did pretty much dominate bowl season this year. Other than Florida. There's always what-ifs, but A&M probably beats Louisville if they aren't starting a 4th string QB.

I'll also say though...outside of Alabama, the SEC doesn't have another top 10 program. They have a ton of them in the 11-50 range, almost the entire conference, but a single dominant program shouldn't automatically make the league better.

If anything, the SEC is in for a lot of future seasons like this. They have a bunch of very good programs, 9-10 of them a year who could make noise. They could also lose 5-6 games.

No different than any other conference then.

Disagree. I think other conferences are much more clearly defined 2-6. My point was though, I'd probably take the top 3-5 in other conferences over the SEC right now, only because picking their top 5 would be much easier. I mean, the SEC had a team go winless in the conference and the next season, went to the national title game. That's pretty mind-blowing. It just doesn't happen.

Are you referring to the year Auburn won the Cam Newton bidding war?
