    No.

They were WAY more likely to lose to Dayton than making a deep run. There "run" was ending in Buffalo.

Ohio State's pairing with Syracuse in a foursome was possibly the worst possible 3/6 game OSU could've gotten. Normally a 3/6, 4/5 advancement is fairly split on brackets, at least like 65/35. A neutral evaluation of OSU vs Cuse really was pretty simple...OSU getting rolled.

Losing Creighton would definitely hurt me pretty bad, although I think they're probably a pretty popular pick to sail thru to the Elite 8.

    It's 23-14 lol.

But it'd brighten my day. I hope all the top teams lose. I'm in Cinderella mode now.

Degenerate gambler update: The Billion Dollar Bracket has 16 perfect entries as of this post. Won't last the weekend.

Exactly. There was basically no chance of them beating Cuse.

And yes, I realize stranger things have happened. But this OSU team had no chance at making a run, especially after drawing Cuse.

    WTF is Tharpe out there?

Have you not watched Syracuse play the past 2 months? Not good enough offensively to roll OSU. Would have been a first to 40 wins type of game.

Yeah, I need Creighton to survive. I had Duke in the national semis, so not sure I can survive under huge upset this early on. I have Arizona winning it all over Iowa State so there is still hope, since there are very few brackets favoring the Cyclones in my pool.

OSU would've needed a miracle game from behind the arc. Cuse did score 77 yesterday too...

Maybe I'm wrong, but I never had OSU going past the first weekend once. Just a terrible match-up for them.

Syracuse's 2-3 would of ate OSU up. Ohio state has next to no outside shooting. And nobody to put in the high post who could facilitate.

Exactly. Their zone is a terrible draw for OSU, but 'Cuse has not been playing well.

And Kansas looks like they have all they can handle with EKY. My saying OSU could go on a deep run had more to do with the teams in their bracket then thinking OSU was some sort of sleeping juggernaut.

    lol ok Wiggins

Holy Wiggins. I think I saw a cape fluttering behind him on that one.

Syracuse is 3-5 in their past 8 games, and their average margin of victory since February started is 8 points. And that includes a 24 point win yesterday. You do the math on what they've done against legitimate opponents.

There would not have been any kind of "rolling".

That's the tough part. I usually stay away from picking too many of the popular favorites if I can to create some margin of error. Nothing worse than being basically eliminated after the first weekend.

You got lucky not many picked ARI, especially with an easier region than others.

This is hyperbole but I want Self fired if he doesn't get Tharpe off the fucking court
  • KB0938
Maybe not a rolling, but Cuse would of won by 8-10 I believe without much worry. But the game will never happen, so it doesnt really matter
  • SportsAndLady
Keep with the underclassmen, plus Ellis.

Keep Tharpe off the fucking court
  • SportsAndLady
Jesus Wiggins can leap, not that we didn't already know that
