Being able to dunk in practice compared to a game, two different worlds. Scott has had MANY break away baskets without traffic coming. I rarely miss an OSU game. NEVER seen him dunk the ball.Laley23;1564778 wrote:I'm sure he can dunk. He is a 6'2, athletic and black human.
Now, that doesn't mean he feels comfortable doing it in a game, but I be stunned if he couldn't dunk. -

Agreed, and that was the point of my post. I'm 6'0-6'1 and white and could dunk regularly in practice. Never was able to in a game and I tried 3 times.centralbucksfan;1564786 wrote:Being able to dunk in practice compared to a game, two different worlds. Thats a great point. And I think that reason is why this is a solid debate/conversation.centralbucksfan;1564786 wrote:Being able to dunk in practice compared to a game, two different worlds. Midstate01I think Ross didn't play due to the fact that once the game started to get away from osu, he went into "I'm gonna get mine" mode.

To the tune of 5 points and 2 turnovers...woohoo!!!Midstate01;1564840 wrote:I think Ross didn't play due to the fact that once the game started to get away from osu, he went into "I'm gonna get mine" mode. -
se-alumFact of the matter is, Scott should've gone left hand, and just get the ball to the backboard. Going right handed put Appling in position to get a hand on it.

I think he was worried about the clock and tried to get it there as quickly as possiblese-alum;1564851 wrote:Fact of the matter is, Scott should've gone left hand, and just get the ball to the backboard. Going right handed put Appling in position to get a hand on it. -
reclegend22Hate that Stephen Bardo moved to the Big Ten Network, as it really limits his scope and the amount of games I can listen to him. He reminds me a lot in style and sound to one of my all-time favorite ESPN announcers, Brad Daugherty, who inexplicably left the college basketball booth in the early 2000s to talk about cars driving around in circles. Really miss that guy. He was awesome.

Classyposter58As we get ready for Dayton/St Louis all I can think is wow Jordan Sibert would make OSU easily the best team in the nation. It's a shame he couldn't of been a little more patient, he'd be the straw that stirs the drink

I'm sure his parents would share your sentiment, but it's unlikely this would've happened. His success is relative to the system and situation he's in, just lie JD Weatherspoon's at Toledo.Classyposter58;1565810 wrote:As we get ready for Dayton/St Louis all I can think is wow Jordan Sibert would make OSU easily the best team in the nation. se-alumI think the Buckeyes will run Iowa today.

It'll be interesting to see how they respond coming off their first loss. I think they win, but by single digits, and I hope Q bounces back big after a poor performance vs Sparty. -

Thad Matta is a great preparer and usually has his team ready to pounce after a loss. While I took Iowa today, I agree that there's a real chance the Buckeyes roll. After getting drubbed by Wisconsin last year, I remember Ohio State taking on a Minnesota team that had just beaten the Badgers and then destroying the Gophers in Columbus. I see a similar thing here. Ohio State coming off a loss to MSU, and Iowa recently giving Wisconsin one of its biggest challenges of the season...se-alum;1566232 wrote:I think the Buckeyes will run Iowa today. -

Yea, it could very well be close, just a gut feeling. I think they found something in that full court press against MSU. It'll be interesting to see if it's used.vball10set;1566234 wrote:It'll be interesting to see how they respond coming off their first loss. Terry_TateOhio State coming out looking bad again. Iowa scoring at the basket almost at will. At least Lenzelle came to play today.
-
Terry_TateMy biggest takeaway so far is that Iowa is really good. They will be tough come March.

Midstate01Iowa's size has been the difference. They're big guards are killing us.

Yup...30 of their 37 points are in the paint, so we really need to shore that up.Midstate01;1566274 wrote:Iowa's size has been the difference. They're big guards are killing us. -
se-alumToo many defensive lapses.
-
vball10setSammy's killing the Buckeyes right now-time to have a seat.
-
se-alumGotta have more than one shooter on the floor against the zone. Loving or ADV need to be in there with Ross.
-
Midstate01Ross is the buckeyes vest player and worst player at times.
-
se-alumShannon Scott has been terrible today.
