SportsAndLadyElijah Pittman with 31 points in his first game...lol you bastard, Rec.

Lol I was just about to post the same thing... Pretty nice by rec. But he doesn't get to use him until next week isn't that how it goes? Still a pretty nice switch most likely.SportsAndLady;1532746 wrote:Elijah Pittman with 31 points in his first game...lol you bastard, Rec. -

Lol. I know nobody here will believe me, but he was actually on my draft board; I just made the stupid decision of picking Chris Wood, a complete unknown, instead. He just happens to be the third leading scorer in the country after one game, haha.SportsAndLady;1532746 wrote:Elijah Pittman with 31 points in his first game...lol you bastard, Rec. -

I believe this is correct.Iliketurtles;1532749 wrote:Lol I was just about to post the same thing... Pretty nice by rec. But he doesn't get to use him until next week isn't that how it goes? Still a pretty nice switch most likely. -
reclegend22Although, I am hoping that since my player transferred before he ever played a single game, that I can at least use my player's remaining games for the first week (of our game) as part of my points, but just not any that he has already played in. Or else I am really fucked this first week.

MulvaIs he allowed to add Pittman? Dropped a guard, added a forward.

It was more a move by technicality. As I noted, I moved Anthony Drmic (a G-F) to a guard spot on my roster to fill in for Jones, and then replaced my open forward spot with Pittman. Az did make it known that players listed as G-F give our rosters flexibility. It was never stated that that flexibility only related to the draft.Mulva;1532756 wrote:Is he allowed to add Pittman? But if the move causes any discord, I'll change the pick. -
MulvaI don't really care in this case, but it would be nice to know going forward.
One of my utility players is a center. If he gets hurt, it would be much nicer to be able to grab a G-F than having to pick through the scraps of remaining centers. -
IliketurtlesAhhh yeah Muvla is right. Rec you do have flexibility. But I think we made a rule that if you make a roster change it has to be the same position. So Pittman can't make Jones's place since one is a G and one is a F... now if Jones was a G-F then it wouldn't be a problem.
-
reclegend22I would assume that in the case of having to replace a utility player, you could simply choose from any player of any position since that's what a utility player is, but you're right in that it was never really discussed.
But again, I have another player in mind (a guard) that I would be more than happy to take if I understood the rules incorrectly. -
SportsAndLady
Of course you can grab a F-C in that case.Mulva;1532763 wrote:I don't really care in this case, but it would be nice to know going forward.

If it has a "C" in it, you can take him to replace your C.
I see nothing wrong with Rec taking a G-F and using him as a G. -
reclegend22Then I take Johnny Dee, G, San Diego.
I am hoping I can use his second game, which is tonight, as part of my points. Just not his game from Friday. -
SportsAndLadyWait so is Rec moving a G to F, then using the new guy as a G? That I necessarily wouldn't agree with..
I'm just confused -

Rec took a F to replace a G, then to make the roster work he switched an existing G-F from F to G.
My Util is a C. I said could I take a G or F if he gets hurt, not a F-C. -
reclegend22We'll just wait and see how Johnny does in his game tonight, and then make an official ruling later on whether I can keep Pittman

IliketurtlesThese are the last two posts I found that really laid out the injury/suspension/guy transferring so he now is not playing
Azubuike24;1525549 wrote:If we do fill-in, which is fair since we had that set up from the beginning, I don't think we should limit it to the same conference.
So, if your center goes down, you can't move a guy from UTIL to C (if you had a 3rd eligible center) and then pick up a guard. You will need to find another center with the specific criteria, but he doesn't have to be from the same conference.Laley23;1523013 wrote:Yeah, I think we took care of that. You can add them once a player is injured. It isnt like Yahoo! where we have to set a line-up. Basically, when an injury is announced, you "conditionally" add a player. End of the week, you take his points if your drafted player does indeed sit out the whole week. If not, then your "conditional" player is off your team and you get the other points.
You keep the conditional guy until your player plays in a game.
Yeah Rec had a G who now wasn't going to playing and picked up a F to replace him and then was going to move a F-G on his roster to G to fulfill his roster positions.SportsAndLady;1532771 wrote:Wait so is Rec moving a G to F, then using the new guy as a G? That I necessarily wouldn't agree with..

We now have that fixed as he has picked a G.
Also I'm cool with rec using this new guys stats from here on out for this week as that transfer is obviously not playing this year. -
IliketurtlesJesus Sam Dower had 21 and 17.... Knew I should have taken him as my second center.
-
SportsAndLady
Yep. I even took the other C for Gonzaga, Karnowski.Iliketurtles;1532787 wrote:Jesus Sam Dower had 21 and 17.... Knew I should have taken him as my second center.
Fuck -
Laley23Lol, wow just caught up.
rec has to take a player from the same position. He wi get his points from any game he HAS NOT PLAYED IN before the dad was made. He will not get the points from that player for yesterday or today (pending on when the add was and the players game started)
Since it is not an injury and we know Jones will be out, rec will get points for all games moving forward and he is essentially now on his team for good since Jones won't be back this year... -
Laley23It's all a bit confusing since it happened pre first game. After tonight, and every team has pretty much played, it is a lot easier....
-
IliketurtlesI'm pretty sure Rec added the dude from San Diego just before his game started tonight so he should get those points just not the points from the game he played in yesterday.
-
reclegend22
Yeah, I made the change about a minute before the game started (my post announcing I changed to Johnny Dee was at like 9:14 or something) with a game-time of 9:15 for San Diego -- don't think it had tipped yet. That's why I picked the guy I did real quick so that I could hopefully use his game from tonight. I'm planning on using his stats from the game unless anyone has a problem with that.Iliketurtles;1532868 wrote:I'm pretty sure Rec added the dude from San Diego just before his game started tonight so he should get those points just not the points from the game he played in yesterday. -
reclegend22ESPN says that Johnny did not play or accumulate any stats in the game tonight. Lulz. He probably died between games or something.
I'm hoping that ESPN just doesn't have a box score for the game yet. If not, then I quit. -
Iliketurtles
With the games against lesser opponents right now they will say that if you go to his actual "player card" there will be stats. I had to do that for one of my guys.reclegend22;1532886 wrote:ESPN says that Johnny did not play or accumulate any stats in the game tonight. Lulz. He probably died between games or something.
