Unless they destroy people 70-0, or teams above lose, they will continue to drop, the schedule is a joke.

I highly doubt that. I remember when Oregon lost Dennis Dixon to a torn ACL, everyone kind of laughed because they were still voted #2 or #3 that week, then lost like 5 games.

Wow, umm. Dixon left the ASU game, was immediately cleared to play against Arizona. He started against Arizona, ripped off a nasty TD run, then never played another down of CFB. They then lost against Arizona and their next 2 games.

Schedule has nothing to do with it. They beat their opponent 42-7 with their backup QB. They had no reason to fall another spot.

The schedule isn't anymore of a joke than Oregon's (Nichols State), or Alabama (Georgia State, Chattanooga), or Stanford (San Jose State), etc.

Every BCS premier team schedules cupcakes.

But, unlike those schools, OSU doesn't have a high ranked team on their schedule. OSU's best team they play is Michigan. Whereas Oregon played @ UVA, Stanford plays ND, Bama plays VT.
OSU's best game OOC is what Cal? Ouch.....

Plus, since the B1G is down, OSU won't play a high ranked team in the B1G. Michigan may be the highest ranked team they play all year. Whereas, all the others get to play Top 10 and Top 5 teams several times this year.

Whenever the BCS comes out, the computers will kill OSU. Just saying for down the road.
It is Sept, and a lot will change, but still something to keep in the back of the mind.

Manny Diaz out as Texas DC
Texas defensive coordinator Manny Diaz has been fired after the Longhorns' historically bad performance against BYU, according to Orangebloods.com's Chip Brown.

@UVA, VT neutral site, are pretty equivalent to @Cal.

I understand what you're saying but although I agree the B1G is "down" the Buckeyes play Wisconsin, Northwestern and Michigan who are all ranked in the Top 25. Plus if Penn State keeps showing some success, they may not be ranked due to sanctions but a win over the Nittany Lions may loom big in the not too distant future.

I was listening to ESPN Austin last night in all its full meltdown glory. Mack is done after this season

Ah I forgot he played against Arizona.

Yeah, Mack Brown is officially out of scapegoats at this point. If they don't win 10 games he's probably gone.

Jim Mora walks out of presser after reporter takes phone call while Mora was discussing his recently deceased WR Nick Pasquale
UCLA head coach Jim Mora began his Monday press conference by talking about receiver Nick Pasquale, who died early Sunday morning in a car accident. However, a local media member (a TV technician) interrupted the session by talking on the phone in the back corner, drawing an irate admonishment from Mora.
After delivering an A+ death glare, Mora stormed out of the room. Unsurprisingly, he did not return. This was Mora’s only scheduled availability this week.

    Good for Mora.

This. Vt is the most overrated bcs school by A LOT. And virginia..seriously. guaranteed if osu still had played vandy instead of vandy dropping that game, people wouldn't be using vandy as a top tough game
  • Azubuike24
Vandy is better than Virginia, but neither is a quality game.

I was watching the game when it happened and it just looked bad. That's part of the reason that I was somewhat optimistic that Braxton could at least walk off the field.

My thoughts as well. It just goes to show how important the backup really is, and imo, we're very fortunate to have an excellent one.

Anyone who saw the injury knew he was done for the season.
