carmenYup, PSU has proved themselves in 14 months
-
Midstate01Just another case of the NCAA just making up things as they go. They have no real rules, they just do whatever they want.

#1DBagI just met a hAWt 20 y/o Russian chick that attends UNLV. She says her favorite sport is "American Football" and her favorite team is OHIO STATE. Her explanation is "they went 12-0 last year". It is crazy that both school's official colors are Scarlet and Gray.

TiernanI'm sure the hundreds of 10yr olds that had their balls fondled by Sandusky feel PSU has more than paid their dues.

Fly4FunDelaney laying out the future, which I agree with:

WebFireI do as well. Though it would suck, because college football as we know it would be gone.

LOL. Would love to see this happen and watch all of these greedy kids (living comfortably through college and getting a free education is SO rough) attempt to take a few NFL hits coming right out of high school. They won't be in the NFL long and I believe things would revert back to their old ways or it will stay but nobody will choose to do it. The NFL takes a much heavier toll on your body than the NBA.WebFire;1507570 wrote:I do as well. Though it would suck, because college football as we know it would be gone.
I was listening to Robert Shearer speak today, and he touched on how people my age want to start at the top instead of work their way up. This is a prime example of it. If you don't put in your dues, chances are you will fail.
This just isnt a realistic option unless the NFL implements some sort of farm league, but they already have that with college football. -

Did you read the article?Pick6;1507807 wrote:

Yes. I believe if there was a truly viable minor league option that would work for the NFL, it would have happened by now. If these NFL owners see a way they would make money, they would do it.WebFire;1507813 wrote:Did you read the article? -
se-alumThere will never be a farm league for the NFL other than college football. This seems like this was Delaney saying let them go, let them fail, and then realize how well you have it as a D1 college athlete. The NFL doesn't want kids that young, so they just wouldn't draft them.
-
Fly4Fun
This. Also, I would be amused to see what NFL teams, if any, try taking a risk on a kid out of high school and seeing how that pans out. I can't think of a single position that a kid out of high school could make a roster.se-alum;1507848 wrote:There will never be a farm league for the NFL other than college football. Midstate01
Even if there was one physically good enough, they'd never be able to fully understand an NFL system AND be able to deal with all the things a professional athlete deals with on a daily basis. They'd not be old enough to rent a vehichle, drink alcohol on a team plane or anywhere obv. Be living on their own for the first time ever. It'd be a complete disaster.Fly4Fun;1507927 wrote:This. Classyposter58Yeah Delany is just talking pissed off. The NFL and NBA do not have any hopes of creating a farm league, the NCAA is your proving ground and thank god. I don't want to see a Toledo MudHens farm football team, I want to see great Ohio State teams
