College Basketball Random Chatter 2013-2014 Season

Laley23Doris Burke is so bad Cincy - LV isnt even a viable flip option.
-
MulvaLouisiana Lafayette beats Western Kentucky. Georgia State is a much better team, but I think ULL is a more dangerous team. Payton and Long is legitimately one of the top handful of inside-outside combos in the country.
-
Azubuike24Ryan Harrow and R.J. Hunter is a pretty damn good combo. They dominated the Sun Belt all year...

But, Louisville isnt playing Cincinnati. And neither is UConn. Looked so good the past two nights but Louisville really has their number(along with almost everyone else) in the past few weeks. -
reclegend22As the Harrison twins have sort of proven, maybe it wasn't Ryan Harrow's fault last year... There was a lot of talk that Harrow just wasn't the right point guard in Cal's system, mainly from Cal, if I correctly recall. Harrow has had a decent season with another year of experience under his belt. Could he have been a better option this year for UK?
UCLA and Arizona in a great on on FS1. Bruins just took a three-point lead with 34 ticks left. -
reclegend22New Mexico with a six-point edge over San Diego State on CBS. Under three minutes to play.
Lots of good action right now, with Creighton and Providence on deck at 8:30. Looking forward to that one. -
MulvaNew Mexico choking against SDSU again.
-
reclegend22Lobos with some life! They jump out to a five-point lead on a long three. New Mexico starting to really play well right now and looks primed for another one-game run in the NCAA Tournament.

lol'd because it's true.reclegend22;1591014 wrote:looks primed for another one-game run in the NCAA Tournament. -
Azubuike24I must say, props to the Mountain West. One of the best conference tournament atmospheres of the weekend. Sure, UK's representation in Atlanta is pretty commanding, but for the games being in Vegas, both SDSU and UNM had great crowds there. Very entertaining game, despite it not being that high-scoring.
-
reclegend22I was just saying last night how the MWC is maybe my favorite conference tournament (outside of the ACC) to watch because of the incredible atmosphere and strong school representation from almost every team there. In terms of conferences as a whole, I'm not sure there is any conference that travels better than the Mountain West. The Thomas & Mac Center is always electric.

Lol, I thought about heading to the tournament just to BE in Vegas.Azubuike24;1591033 wrote:I must say, props to the Mountain West. One of the best conference tournament atmospheres of the weekend. But yes, I agree, great atmosphere. I just think Vegas helps, not hurts, the crowd. -
Azubuike24I referenced Vegas as the location because it's still a decent travel length, especially for UNM.

Right, Im just saying if I lived out there, I would probably plan a yearly vacation around this tourney to GO TO Vegas. Anywhere in the MWC I would do that lol.Azubuike24;1591042 wrote:I referenced Vegas as the location because it's still a decent travel length, especially for UNM.
Im sure a lot of fans make that trip yearly as their excuse to hit up the strip for 3 days. -
Azubuike24P12, MWC, WCC and WAC all in Vegas during an 8-day span. I was out there last year from Tuesday through Friday...lots of different fan groups.

Hell yeah, any excuse to go to Vegas is a good one. As soon as the Vegas date is announced for when the second Champions Classic(with Ohio State) is going to be there I'll start planning my trip, lol.Laley23;1591043 wrote:Right, Im just saying if I lived out there, I would probably plan a yearly vacation around this tourney to GO TO Vegas. My bachelor party WILL be a year and 4 days from today. I want to get in late Wednesday (after work) and wake up in time to go place bets on ALL 16 games for Thursday and Friday before they start and then just chill at the pool or a casino or wherever (strip club) and get smashed while watching all my bets on TV.Terry_Tate;1591051 wrote:Hell yeah, any excuse to go to Vegas is a good one. Then Saturday morning, do the same thing for the weekend. Unfortunately, Ill have to fly home Sunday morning, but still totally worth it. -

We're all strangers but you could have an OC part of the bachelor party with how addicted to gambling some of us are, lol. I won't be in Vegas for the tourney anytime soon though because it's basically a 4 day party at my house. I take off work both days and set up 3 big TVs and do nothing but watch games. Thursday and Friday are always incredible. Pretty sure I'd take that over any holiday throughout the year.Laley23;1591054 wrote:My bachelor party WILL be a year and 4 days from today. That sounds incredible though, that's the way to do it big! -

Anyone is welcome to head out there and buy me a shot or lap dance lolTerry_Tate;1591057 wrote:We're all strangers but you could have an OC part of the bachelor party with how addicted to gambling some of us are, lol. I dont take off work, but then again, I work for a company who has 2 people at most of the sites on the crew. I was hired to late to be on them, but the "office" still has every game on. From what Ive been told, there wont be much work going on those 2 days...especially if Duke and UNC are playing before 5pm (not likely...they get primetime games lol) -
Ironman92Gus Johnson and Bill Raftery are fucking sensational together....Creighton/Providence
-
Laley23Dougie is my favorite player to watch outside of IU in forever. I dont recall a "big" moving as well without the ball in my lifetime of watching college ball.
Providence in position to take the title though. I wouldnt put it past McDermott to nail 3 threes in the last 45 seconds though. -
Terry_TateGood game wrapping up at MSG. Providence holding on for dear life against Creighton.
-
reclegend22Doug McDermott single-handedly keeping Creighton in the Big East final. Jays trailed 10 a couple of minutes ago, but two NBA triples from Dougie have cut the lead to four.
McDermott simply hasn't gotten enough touches tonight, which is often a problem for Creighton in their losses. Anybody on Creighton not named Doug who shoots the ball with under a minute to play should be shot dead on the spot. -
MulvaThe fact that this is the last game of the year for Gus and Raft makes me sad.
-
Laley23Damn, I thought he was gonna hit that.
