College Basketball Random Chatter 2013-2014 Season

Azubuike24Ky Madden misses a 35-footer for the win. That's it for Arkansas. Prime chance for Tennessee, who will get the 3rd game in 3 days against South Carolina tomorrow.
Colorado beating California by 8th, about 13 left in the game. -

I don't consider Green Bay a bubble team either. Don't think they have any kind of realistic shot.Azubuike24;1590074 wrote:Arkansas will get a chance in regulation.
Green Bay, BPI of 62, is a bubble team, but UNLV, BPI of 69 and possibly 3 shots at decent wins left is not? They could get there, as could Illinois and LSU. They certainly all have to win multiple games... -
MulvaUNLV is melting down. 10 point lead down to 1 in about 45 seconds of gametime.
-
reclegend22Doug McDermott with 20 points and five triples in the first half against DePaul. The kid is the most consistently great player I've ever seen in my time watching college basketball.
He is so fun to watch. -
reclegend22...and there's still 5:27 left to play in the half.
-
reclegend22Dougie McDermott with 27 points in the first half, an all-time Big East Tournament record. Quincy Douby was one of the previous record holders with 24 points in half for Rutgers against Villanova back in 2006. That was one hell of a performance as well. Douby was dropping shots from all over the damn place.

Azubuike24Did MSG force them to change the floor design for the "new" Big East Tournament? They always used to keep it the classic Knicks w/ a Big East logo...
-
Azubuike24UCF is really threatening UC. Tied at 53, down to the wire.
-
MulvaMy ESPNU feed is terrible right now.

wildcats20Flagrant?
-
Midstate01Don't call this flagrant. Would be a terrible way to possibly change a game...
He did grab him with the left arm. But the dude is huge. You almost have to hug him to foul him.
I don't like it -

Just because he's big doesn't make any less of not a basketball play.Midstate01;1590130 wrote:Don't call this flagrant. Would be a terrible way to possibly change a game...

Same shit with Shaq. Foul a normal size guy like that and it's probably a flagrant 2. -
reclegend22McDermott finishes with 35 points tonight, as Creighton advances to play the winner of Marquette/Xavier at 9:30 tomorrow night. He is now just 20 points shy of surpassing Keydren Clark of St. Peter's for sixth place all-time on the college basketball career scoring list.
Memphis-UConn should be pretty good tonight. -

I think the Big East has used a conference logo at center court for awhile now, but I do recall the Knicks logo being there years ago.Azubuike24;1590118 wrote:Did MSG force them to change the floor design for the "new" Big East Tournament? reclegend22Bracket scientist Joe Lunardi says Oklahoma State is still a single-digit seed while Arkansas is now out of his NCAA Tournament all together.
He also states that Villanova's loss today is not a bad loss by any means and that the other top seed hopefuls have a lot of work to do to catch up. As discussed in this thread, depending on if the committee has essentially "made its mind up" already, this could ultimately prove true. But god do I hope this guy is proven wrong. -

It was (recently) always a Big East logo slapped over the Knicks logo on the same hardwood, if I recall.reclegend22;1590137 wrote:I think the Big East has used a conference logo at center court for awhile now, but I do recall the Knicks logo being there years ago. -
SportsAndLadyI know you guys hate ok state, but I agree with lunardi. They're 100% safe and probably a 10 seed.
-
reclegend22
I am now on your and I92's side regarding Oklahoma State being in the Big Dance, but do you agree with the scientist's assertion that they are a bona fide single-digit seed while Arkansas isn't even in the tournament discussion?SportsAndLady;1590151 wrote:I know you guys hate ok state, but I agree with lunardi. To me that is idiotic. The bracket scientist is a schmuck, but I am obviously biased against him. -
reclegend22
Yeah, you and Az are right on that. Looks like they changed the design.ts1227;1590150 wrote:It was (recently) always a Big East logo slapped over the Knicks logo on the same hardwood, if I recall. -

Honestly I don't know shit about Arkansas......OK St is a 9 or a 10 seed and one of those fucking teams I miss every year in the bracket.reclegend22;1590159 wrote:I am now on your and I92's side regarding Oklahoma State being in the Big Dance, but do you agree with the scientist's assertion that they are a bona fide single-digit seed while Arkansas isn't even in the tournament discussion?

Not sure how The Scientist considers Oklahoma State a bona fide single-digit seed, the real mccoy, while Arkansas is not even in the discussion and 100% NIT bound. -
Azubuike24I think Arkansas should be in, but if they miss out, that's fine. They lost 3 in a row. If they beat 17-loss South Carolina today, they are safe.
The question with OSU is...why are they a lock when many others are in serious trouble. If anything, they should be in the last 8 in or out, but definitely in that group...not above them. A 9 or 10-seed is basically saying they aren't even one of the last dozen in...which is ridiculous. -

Oklahoma state has 1 poor loss. Arkansas has 7. That pretty much says it all.reclegend22;1590163 wrote:Oklahoma State
