Luke Hancock and Peyton Siva are class A pricks. I hope Louisville's flying machine runs out of fuel on the way back.

    Wow that's bullshit

WSU got screwed out a chance.

Quickest jump ball I've ever seen. Fucking joke officiating in this second half.
  • Midstate01
Thats a tie up if you count never touching the ball but holding the arm. Lol

Agreed on that. I've said this before, but that was the first national title game that I really vividly remember watching as a college basketball fan. I remember reenacting the entire game on my Little Tikes hoop the day after. I was nine and I dominated that game.

2 of the refs (Karl Hess, Terry Wymer) are fucking incompetent, so it only figured it came down to that

This Louisville team is a pure joke. I used to really like Rick Pitino, but I am starting to hate him for the way his team conducts itself on the court.

Clark Kellogg just said that Rick Pitino is telling his team not to foul. Good luck with that.

What a hosing the Shockers took on that "jump ball" call. Ridiculous.

Were you Delk, McCarty, Walker, Mercer, etc.?

First national title game I vividly remember was Duke-UNLV.

Glad I was practically a baby for that. Haha.

My whole life, I have always tried to shoot as far away from the hoop as possible -- I probably would have melted in high school if I ever tried to drive past the three-point line -- so I was definitely Antoine. Lol.

I won't put Boeheim in Smith's underachieving category, even though I do think Boeheim is slightly overrated when being discussed. He's got the counting numbers (wins), but the quality isn't quite there with say the top 8 coaches of all time. Boeheim also had more of an uphill battle at the Cuse. The Big East didn't even exist when he came around and Syracuse was NOT a national power by any means.

I've watched far too many Syracuse vs Louisville games over the years though. I really don't want to see another one for a title...so I gotta root for UM.

Although, I do find it ironic that both the Big East Title, and the potential National Title, could be somewhat of a slap in the face to a fledgling conference...

    The Shockers got the shaft.

The Big East ends after this tourney. It's gonna be the All-American Conference next year so not even the name remains.

Caught the last ten minutes....what a joke. No dog in the fight, but Louisville got away with non stop hacking...embarrassment. and that jump ball was just the icing

Well it doesn't technically end, as 7 of the current Big East schools will still operate under the name next year.

Are you sure that the name stays next year? Just saw the other day that it will be the All-American Conference.

The old Big East -- Connecticut, Cincinnati, South Florida, etc. -- are taking the All-American Conference name, while the Catholic 7 plus Creighton and Butler are retaining the Big East name. At least that's how I believe it is playing out.
