  eh for the record, I said last week when this came out that he lied/embellished the relationship, which would be him doing something wrong. I just don't believe that he was in on the hoax, and there has been nothing that has come out saying he was except for the 80% quote. There have been how many other people come out saying this same "girl" duped them or someone related to them and not one person has said Te'o was in on it.

  I don't know, I don't get a paper bill and if I go to view my usage online, there is a link on the first page to download spreadsheets for calls and data usage. I haven't tried but I do think I can sort it by phone number so I can see how often I talk to any number on there. Would it be better if they printed off the full bill? Sure. But just because it was a spreadsheet doesn't automatically mean it was made up.

  I'm not saying it's necessarily false; I'm just questioning why they wouldn't give definitive proof. I mean the phone records themselves aren't that vital, but it would still be nice to offer valid evidence.

  Honestly, I'm not sure which would be worse, him being in on it or being completely duped. If he wasn't in it on it, he is one really dumb dude.

  I was actually a Te'o fan, thought he was a great player, and was a great story for college football. I'm not an ND hater at all, and I don't think he was in on it from the beginning. I do, however, believe he found out long before Dec. 6th. There is too much stuff that just doesn't add up, mainly never wanting to visit her through her wreck and illness, then he says it "never crossed his mind". You can't possibly believe that?

  people are hanging on to that quote way too much, probably because that ESPN had it running on the bottom line for a day. that was one part of a longer quote in which he said why he didn't visit or couldn't visit.
  
  as for knowing before the 6th, what info makes you think that? what doesn't add up specifically where you would think he knew earlier?

  I asked what exactly is leading people to believe he knew before the 6th. "Her family," which he had still be talking to, was supposed to visit with Te'o and his family for the SC game, but only the 9 year old "niece" showed up with Ronaiah. That was Thanksgiving weekend.

  LOL...here is the whole quote. This seems believable to you? He was going home, they were pulling the plug, and he didn't think, "hey, I'll get a connecting flight in San Francisco and at least express my condolences to the family".

End of my junior year, and I was about to go home. When I decided to go home, the day that I decided to -- the day I left to go home -- they called me and said that that was the same day that they were going to pull the plug. And so it intensifies the whole thing. I'm on the plane. I figured they're about to pull the plug on someone.
