    I saw that, too.

So when if he does leave for Colorado after saying that, will UC fans hate him like they hate Brian Kelly for doing basically the same thing?

with whats happened with realignment, its smart to get away from the uncertainty that is cincy. now is cu the right decision? depends. if they put money into the program, you can win there. if jones is serious about going there, the administration must have assured him they will do what it takes to put a competitive product on the field

Yeah not sure about Jones taking the Buffs job. Easier to win at UC and wait for next job offer. If he fails at Colorado he could end up working with Dan Hawkins at the Citgo

strong turns down tennessee. in related news, i've decided to throw my hat into the ring for the volunteer gig

I would HOPE that Jones is smart enough to have it planned out to go to Boulder, win a few games, then get the hell out to a better job

LOL. Tennessee. I feel their pain. Last year, Akron couldnt even get Paul Winters (Akron guy, HC of D2 Wayne State) to accept the HC job. Then we somehow lucked into T Bowden....

Does anyone think Bielema left because Barry is a d***. Seems like a control freak who still tries to run the program, heck sounds like he'll coach the bowl game

Paul Chryst is reportedly out of the running for the Wisconsin job
  • mucalum49
I could see Wisconsin going for Paul Rhoads of Iowa State. Knows the region, his team has improved each year he's been there. While the regular season record was the same this year and last (6-6) the margin in those losses was closer than 2011. He's had a few good upsets at Iowa State too; TCU was #13 this year when they beat them, #2 Oklahoma State last year.

Wouldn't be surprised if he got more money and gave Cincy a deadline to figure out if they can get out of the Big East. Can't blame him for leaving next year if more domino's fall in realignment and Cincy is still in the same conference.

Probably more. At least ND is a real program. Colorado might be the worst BCS conference team in the history of the BCS. I mean, the Big East is getting more irrelevant by the day due to the changing landscape in college sports...but Colorado? It'd be better to be a winning coach at a very good minor conference team than there, as you could use the Cincinnati job to propel you to something better than fucking Colorado...

Eric Taylor has turned down Tennessee
  • mucalum49
On Ohio State's Scout forum it's reported that Bo Pelini has reached out to Tennessee regarding their vacancy. Also reports that Barry Alvarez has contacted Chris Petersen and he may actually go for an interview for the Wisconsin opening.

Not sure other than money why Bo would leave for the SEC. Again it wouldn't be for the competitive advantage as Nebraska is just as big of a name school. Nebraska is probably better off these days than UT anyways.

First link to come up for Pelini news:

Rich Rod has also apparently expressed interest in the Tennessee job.

I heard he accepted. Dont be surprised if he bolts back to East Dillon mid-season, though.

    Smash got any eligibility left?
  • Tiernan
That could work.. I see Coach Taylor's wife is already working in Nashville.
