My thought on Pelini is that his seat is starting to get warm after the championship game debacle last weekend. If they go on to lose to Georgia, that will mean that he's never had a season with fewer than 4 losses as the coach of the Cornhuskers, not to mention he's 0-3 in conference championship games. And with a new AD taking over next year, who knows how short of a leash he'll have.mucalum49;1337479 wrote:On Ohio State's Scout forum it's reported that Bo Pelini has reached out to Tennessee regarding their vacancy. Also reports that Barry Alvarez has contacted Chris Petersen and he may actually go for an interview for the Wisconsin opening.
Not sure other than money why Bo would leave for the SEC. Again it wouldn't be for the competitive advantage as Nebraska is just as big of a name school. Nebraska is probably better off these days than UT anyways.

Not a bad hire. Will be interested to see how the offense does in the Pac-12, considering they'll have to score 50+ to keep up with Oregon, UCLA and USC.ts1227;1337583 wrote:Sonny Dykes hired at Cal -

Good for him. Better recruits. Better money. Stable conference. I like it. -
derek bomarif you are a UC fan do you just jump off of a bridge now or later when the next coach leaves you in 3 years?

UC needs to get in a real conference instead of trying to champion the Big East as anything but a joke.derek bomar;1338035 wrote:if you are a UC fan do you just jump off of a bridge now or later when the next coach leaves you in 3 years? -

HereticThey'd make a decent MAC team. Better than fucking UMass. It'd add another decent squad to NIU, Kent, OU and Toledo. And be better for them than staying in the Big East.

It'll be very interesting to see how Kent does next year.Heretic;1338051 wrote:They'd make a decent MAC team. Better than fucking UMass. It'd add another decent squad to NIU, Kent, OU and Toledo. And be better for them than staying in the Big East. -
derek bomarUC should petition the B12... they took WVU you'd think they'd take UC.

Here's the question I'd have about that: Isn't UC's general fan support a lot less than WVU's? In Morgantown, they have NOTHING ELSE to get excited over besides incest, so they're the kind of team with a lot of attractiveness due to fan support. I don't know if UC has that sort of "it factor", as they're in a city with multiple pro sports and other things going on.derek bomar;1338142 wrote:UC should petition the B12... they took WVU you'd think they'd take UC.
Just asking...I don't really know. It just seems that in theory that WVU would bring more to the table as far as intangibles go. -

Didn't be have chances to go to some nice schools?? He must see the end at Boise is nearing.
Wanna talk about an overhaul though. They'd have nobody to run his style of offense. -

Bielema was probably going to accept another senior transfer. Whoever the QB coach has been needs fired. They haven't developed anything lately -

This would be a big get for Wisky...no one has been able to lure him away from Boisegorocks99;1338189 wrote:Chris Petersen is apparently going to interview with Wisconsin: http://www.thebig1070.com/cc-common/mainheadlines3.html?feed=125287&article=10626055 -

Boise got hung out to dry on the Big East mess, so Petersen has to leave now to go to a power conference -
se-alumI agree, I think the time is right for Peterson to get out of Boise. Would love to have Peterson in the B1G!

0311sdpWisconsin with a likeable coach, I wouldn't be able to take it. They were easy to hate with douche bags like Alvarez and Bielema.
