lhslep134You're talking about a play that never technically happened. So again, sorry if I don't see past the irrelevant nature of your post.

Lane Kiffin never called a timeout on that play? News to me.karen lotz;1329466 wrote:Your post also talked about a play that never technically happened, right? LOL
You're stupid -
karen lotz
Please point out where I said Kiffin didn't call a timeout. You called Mooney out for discussing a play that didn't happen, after you said that Southern Cal had scored a touchdown on the same "play". Is that also news to you?lhslep134;1329829 wrote:Lane Kiffin never called a timeout on that play? News to me.

stlouiedipalmaAnd lost in this whole thread is the fact that Notre Dame will finally get that big, fat BCS payday that everyone else has to share with their conference. Another reason why the Irish will never join a conference in football.
-
karen lotzJust so you know, they don't get the same payout as other BCS participants. They don't have to split their share, but it also isn't the $20+ million other teams/conferences get.

While it is a fat paycheck...it's not like it is crazy amounts more than other schools. ND gets $6.2 million for a BCS game. By comparison...with the SEC getting two teams in, each team in the SEC will get about $3.4 million.stlouiedipalma;1330136 wrote:And lost in this whole thread is the fact that Notre Dame will finally get that big, fat BCS payday that everyone else has to share with their conference. The difference is, ND doesn't get that $6.2 mil if they don't make a BCS game. The teams in the SEC get their cut of the $23.6 million per team every single year.
So technically...from a financial stand point (in terms of bowl games), ND loses out by being an Independent. -
karen lotzEh i think its under $5 million when they make a BCS game, just over $1 million every other year.

They do get $6.2 mil this year. I thought that's what I had read the other day. It got bumped up a year or so ago when the new ESPN deal went into effect for the BCS games.karen lotz;1330147 wrote:Eh i think its under $5 million when they make a BCS game, just over $1 million every other year.
http://espn.go.com/blog/playbook/dollars/post/_/id/2395/irish-will-be-bcs-biggest-winner-financially
They get $1.3 million when they don't go to the BCS.
Let's assume the SEC only gets one team into a BCS bowl...every team in the conference gets $1.7. So I guess every other year ND's payout is pretty on-par with a member of a conference that only gets one team into a BCS game. -

30 pack of keystone, heart problems, shortness of breath, hospital bills. -
WebFireWhat will they get in the future if they take an ACC bowl spot? I assume they have to share that with the conference?

That doesn't even make any sense, lotz. That has nothing to do with college football.karen lotz;1330210 wrote:30 pack of keystone, heart problems, shortness of breath, hospital bills. -
