How did Kiffin "meltdown" I missed it

Southern Cal had first and goal from inside the 1 after two pass interference penalties in the end zone. They ran 2 QB sneaks, another run play that lost a yard and then instead of kicking a FG to get it back to a 6 point game, called for a pass play to the fullback that fell incomplete.

also, they got down to around the 2 with just under 6 minutes to go in the game, the 4th down play game with I think around 2:30 to go.

Where's sleeper, did he make another iPad bet or something?

Kiffin is an awful coach. The man has done nothing to deserve that job at USC, he didnt deserve the job at UT either.

Congrats to ND. I just ordered a couple t shirts for my future father-in-law, they look pretty solid

Those t-shirts seem more than a little too early.

I agree. This season means nothing if they cant finish it

I will disagree with that. An unexpected 12-0 season is not only a pretty big accomplishment....but it's progress after back-to-back 8-5 campaigns. If ND was expected to win it all this year then I would say this is where they should be and what people expected. However, this is a big step in the right direction based on where they've been and even though a BCS title game will be crushing and put a damper on things....it doesn't negate what this team did on the field and for the program.

You'll be extremely disappointed if they don't finish this, regardless of what you're saying now. Trust me, I've been there. ;)

Perhaps you missed the part where I stated it would be "crushing"?

I won't be disappointed at all. They've been playing with house money for a while now. 2011 was a disappointing season because of how good they should have been.

The point is this.....of course we'll be crushed as we're fans and there are a lot of emotions that come into play here. However, if you take a step back and look at the season and attempt to be rational about it....it will have been a successful season and progress. Not saying looking at it rationally will be easy to do but I think you get what I'm saying here.

Toby, it's easy to say now, but wait six (seven?) weeks and tell me again after the NC game.

Don't forgot the reason they only had 2 timeouts was because Kiffin blew a timeout on a play they scored a touchdown.

I see the point that you think you're making but if you lose the championship game it will be a failure. I'm sure I'm not the only Bucks fan that considers 2006 a lost season because of what transpired in the final game. Yeah it was great to go 12-0, great to have a Heisman winner, but your season is defined by what happens in your final game of the year.

Well I guess all I can say is that when Pittsburgh was up 20-6 I was completely fine and not sad in the slightest.

I got really really really really really pissed when Notre Dame blew the game against Michigan last year. Ever since then I just haven't let any of it get to me. If they get stomped by the SEC, so be it. Kelly is building this program to be an annual contender, and I can't ask for anything more than that.

Congrats ND fans. You guys worked really hard.

Not quite the same....OSU hadn't been down for the better part of 20 years and had won a national title just 4 years earlier. They were an annual NC contender at that point. OSU wasn't coming off back-to-back 8-5 seasons and they were expected to compete for a NC that season. Wasn't OSU preseason #1 that season? Sorry, but it's not the same.

Again, when you consider where ND came from (the last several years, barely ranked to start the season)...to say this entire 2012 season will be a failure if they lose in the BCS title game is very irrational.

Congrats Irish. I think I might actually be rooting for you the NCG.

The entire season won't be a failure, but you'll never be able to remove the bitterness if you lose in the title game. That is the point I was trying to make.

That being said, I'm still rooting for you guys.

    Okay. That I agree with.
