#1 UNC vs #13 Ohio University

  • Ironman92
UNC should and probably will win by 25....but exciting for SE Ohio and the MAC.

Hopefully, 02 will be telling DJ Cooper to go to hell.

OU has about 3 guys with fire power...but UNC has about 8 and huge length to go with it. Not a good Cinderella matchup for the Bobcats.

I'd take OU +25 all day...I'd bet everything on that.

UNC should literally go to Henson and Zeller every single time.

    Is that the spread?!

Carolina will be an entirely different team if Marshall can't go. I would think their talent could get them past OU, but the Bobcats are playing really well. If Marshall is out, I think this will probably be a good game.

Really a shame about Marshal. Be interesting to see how it affects UNC if he can't go. Especially the mental part. Even without him, UNC should coast in this game. Its when they get past this point it could hurt them. All things equal, all teams playing well, I thought UNC was about the only team to really matchup with UK. UK has to be an even bigger fav now if Marshall can't go.

I had Ohio picked to go to the Sweet 16 in my office pool but those were "from the heart" picks. No way did I expect this.

It's fun to be in the Sweet 16 when nobody was lovin' on the MAC during the regular season.

I hope the Buckeye state sends 4 teams to the Sweet 16!

Fun Fact: The last time these 2 played was in Feb. 2002 in Chapel Hill. Ohio won it 86-78.

I won't deny that I get frustrated by Carolina's perimeter D a lot of times, but look up the overall defensive efficiency rankings and then get back to me.

    Just saw this in twitter:
RT @HustleBelt: UNC PG Kendall Marshall getting a second opinion from an OHIO-educated doctor, recommends amputation.

Just message board info, but Marshall and his family supposedly met with a doctor once they returned to Chapel Hill. He's having surgery tomorrow morning, and there's a possibility that he could play with a splint on Friday. I obviously don't know any of the details, but this was apparently posted by his Dad on Facebook or Twitter.

Guess we'll see. Can't risk his future, but if he can play with the consent of the medical team, then let's hope he goes.
  • Pick6
Let him play with the splint. Chances are he will be hurting his team more than helping them by playing.
  • wildcats20
Playing with a splint or cast isn't what concerns me, it's the word surgery.
