Is it possible that Wiggins could SHOCK everyone, and go to Wichita State? They could win back to back titles (pending they somehow win it this year).
Let's hope he doesn't let his brother influence him very much. :D

You gotta admit, it would be an intriguing story to follow. Unprecedented, actually. UK is UK and UNC is UNC, but talk about really making a unique dent in the history of the sport.

Yeah, I wouldn't mind seeing him go to WSU to play with his brother.

I was referring to his brother saying that he thought he should go to Kentucky. lol

Well, that seems like a done deal to me.

Could be exactly what he wants everyone to think. If every UNC player comes back, he could easily think the same. The kid has the sport by the balls right now. He can wait until every piece is in place before even hinting at a decision. He doesn't even have to sign a LOI.

That's true. I could be reading too much into it for sure. Seems like he's pretty comfortable with that idea, but maybe he's just being honest. The talent there would certainly be unbelievable.

As far as Carolina goes, there has been some talk that Wiggins might be more inclined to go there if Bullock or Hairston leaves. Carolina could certainly go with a lineup of Paige, Bullock, Wiggins, Hairston, McAdoo, but there would be a lot of wing players on that roster. I suppose the same could be said for UK too, though.

Hard to tell what's really going on. It truly does seem, though, like he hasn't completely made up his mind.

They might win it all, but it wouldn't be the best college team ever. It would not be greater than 1996 Kentucky or 1990 Las Vegas. Nope.

Here's the video of that quote, Azu. Like you said before, he could be building suspense or just not trying to show his hand, but he seems very excited about the possibility of playing with those guys.

I've said before that there are several Carolina "insiders" that feel good about where Roy stands with Wiggins, but I think this is a battle that Roy is going to lose, and I hate it.

Aaron Gordon is announcing on Tuesday. Is there still a chance he goes to UK, or has that ship sailed?

Cauley-Stein looks to be returning, Goodwin to the NBA. http://kentuckysportsradio.com/?p=130740

I guess if I had to pick, I'd take WCS because of the inexperience at center. Still, Archie Goodwin grew on me late in the year for his attitude and demeanor. I'm kind of sad he won't be back.Kyle Wiltjer also confirmed he will return.http://www.kentucky.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1490416

Sounds like Aaron Gordon will stay out west. Arizona or Oregon. We'll know tomorrow.
  • ironman02
Surprised that Goodwin is leaving. Any word on Poythress?

Seems like a lot of UK fans are confident that Gordon might be coming to Lexington, but it does seem like he's gonna stay out West. I don't know, though. Some spots are opening up at UK, so I wouldn't be surprised to see them finish with Gordon and Wiggins.
  • Azubuike24
Is that even feasible? 5 of the top 6, and 8 of the top 18 in 1 class? He's probably a glutton for punishment if he does this, but could UCLA be in the mix for Gordon now that Alford is there? Alford coached Aaron's brother Drew at New Mexico. New Mexico did offer Gordon, before he eliminated them. Twitter reports his decision "shocked" his family...yet his final 4 are Oregon, Washington, Arizona and Kentucky.

Seems like the latest may be that Poythress is leaving. Assuming that Noel leaves as well (all indications are that he certainly will), that leaves plenty of room for Wiggins, Gordon, and Hawkins at UK, especially with the circumstances of Hood and Polson.

I'm gonna be severely pissed if Calipari gets Wiggins AND Gordon to join his already stacked to the max recruiting class. lol

Via Jeff Borzello's twitter(CBB writer for CBS sports)

Interesting. RT @NextCats: Aaron Gordon says he's already committed to a coach.

Fucking fuck. Just watched ESPNU from 9pm till now. That included way too many innings of the UNC-Clemson baseball game and skills competition. I wanted to see the 3pt Shooting Contest and Dunk Contest. I am now pissed I missed Vonleh cause he finished 4th and only top 3 advance to finals. They are obviously airing this delayed and not live. So I am done, cause Im tired.

But, apparently Andrew Wiggins destroyed the Dunk Contest (per some people on Twitter).

    Two thoughts.

First thought: Really excited about the Andrew Wiggins recruitment because, if UNC misses on him and then Bullock, Hairston and McAdoo all go professional, the Tar Heels are possibly in the NIT again next year. Of course, the inverse could also be true and the Tar Heels could be dancing in Dallas next April.

Second thought: There were no former McDonald's All-Americans on this year's AP First Team All-American team. That's cray.

...and people try to dispute the whole "this was an extremely weak year" theory. Bottom line, in today's college game, more often than not, the best players AND best prospects, are going to be the top 5-10 HS recruits. Every other year for a decade, there has been at least 1 Freshman as a 1st Team AAA. We've had 4 or 5 Freshman win at least one of the POY awards over the past decade. If you're 1st Team AA's are Juniors & Seniors, it's a down year.

Aaron Gordon to Arizona. Depending on if they lose anyone else, another major contender next year.

Top point guard in the class of 2014, Tyus Jones, has returned his North Carolina hat to Hat World. (No surprise after the Heels signed Nate Britt and with Marcus Paige already on the roster in Chapel Hill.) Jones lists Minnesota as one of his final seven schools, but I imagine it's simply there to appease the home base. He ain't going to Minnesota.

The seven schools still in the hunt for Jones: Duke, Kentucky, Kansas, Baylor, Michigan State, Ohio State and Minnesota.
