Ohio State Recruiting 2013

with the little bit of film there, and his size/speed he kind of reminds me of Alex Smith. Urb did some great things with that style of QB at Utah.

Just got a commitment from OT Evan Lisle from Centerville

Huge pickup. This class is going to be great. Greater than Michigans. That's for sure.

Great thing, too, is 4 of our 5 commitments are from Ohio. Now let's go get the best WR on the market, regardless of where he is.

I think the staff is going for broke on Robert Foster.

I would be VERY surprised if we landed Marquez North. I just don't see him coming here. Who knows, tho... I could be wrong.
  • captvern
I would be as well. I think the staff is putting the full court press on for him though

Interview with JT Barret. Seems like a very well spoken person who I hope we end up with. I really like our chances with this kid.

Jalin Marshall. . . seems to be a pretty good athlete:

Saw that pic on Twitter too. Pretty crazy. Tough to tell, however, just how high up he really is. At first glance, it looks like his arm is soaring well above the rim. After analyzing it closer and taking into consideration the camera angle, it looks like he is just slightly above rim level. Still... impressive.

Top rated safety Sa'a Cravens tweeted this a couple of days ago. Would be nice to get a playmaking safety in this class
The three official visits I'm taking so far are michigan, nebraska, and ohio st. Two more to decide on.

Meyer thinks attrition is over for now. Right now we have 14 spots left. So it will be slow for awhile. Only a handful of kids could probably commit now if they wanted to.

He retweeted a pro Ohio State tweet. Yes, I realize I am using/stating Twitter as "evidence," but I think it goes to show that Ohio State is definitely a favorite for him.
    Oh?

I'm not sure why Meyer wasn't all over Malik, I really liked him. Some say he doesn't run as well as Meyer would like. Idk. I wanted him. Good luck to him at nd though.

Long way to go though. That would be 5 qbs on ND's roster. Will be interesting to see if this year's qb play changes his mind at all.

Urban wanted him to camp. Guess he didn't want to wait.

True. Zaire did not have a committable offer from OSU. Good luck to him, though. Seems like a good kid.
  • OneBuckeye
Zaire himself doesn't worry me too much. But he is supposidly very good friend with Robert Foster, who Ohio State needs in this class. If we are taking 2 QB in this class like everyone thinks, I would have taken Zaire just to help lock down Foster. I think we still have a chance, but our work will be cut out for us.

Ohio State lands commit No. 6

St. Louis (Mo.) Burroughs running back Ezekiel Elliott has committed to Ohio State following a weekend visit to the Buckeyes campus. The 6-foot, 195-pound Elliott chose Ohio State over his other finalist Notre Dame, as well as a slew of other offers from the likes of Missouri, Arizona State, Arkansas, Georgia, Iowa, Kansas State, Nebraska, Penn State, Tennessee, Vanderbilt, Virginia and Wisconsin.
