Oklahoma vs Oklahoma State

Which is why there needs to be some type of playoff system. I don't know how it should be set up, or how the teams should be chosen, but having these types of discussions every year is getting old. Settle it on the field, and then at least you can say that all the teams that are "in the dicussion" had their chance to prove it.karen lotz;999985 wrote:I know. I was just saying you can poke holes in any argument for either team. -

29 yards on 26 attempts for an average of 1.1/attempt. Oklahoma averages 172 yds/game on the year.Crimson streak;999986 wrote:And oklahoma st can't stop the run? They have held Oklahoma to about 20 yards rushing tonight -

no you can't. the crash didn't affect them from going up 28-14 (or whatever it was) and it certainly didn't affect from choking it awaycats gone wild;999989 wrote:I dont know if you can blame the crash on the loss. If that was the case, Brett Favre shouldnt of had an amazing day the day after his dad died. -

Read into your post. Something dont add up. Oh wait, OSU must have a good amount of turnovers while LSU doesnt. And as I said, OSU plays in a pass happy league and LSU has the best secondary.bigkahuna;999991 wrote:OSU Ranked T-6th in the nation in fumble recoveries with 16
LSU Ranked T-37th in the nation in fumble recoveries with 11
OSU Ranked 2nd in the nation in INT with 21
LSU Ranked T-10th in the nation in INT with 16.
Don't let stats get in the way of your argument though. -

One game, how about the season. And remember they dont play many rushing teams.Crimson streak;999986 wrote:And oklahoma st can't stop the run? They have held Oklahoma to about 20 yards rushing tonight -
Crimson streakOk and they held the top 3rd scoring offense to 3 points tonight. Didn't you say it's all about scoring not the yards?

Choklahoma. That word says it all. Look at the whole schedule.Crimson streak;1000007 wrote:Ok and they held the top 3rd scoring offense to 3 points tonight. Didn't you say it's all about scoring not the yards? -

And yet you ignore the fact that OSU has more fumble recoveries than LSU. So, to recap, they have more turnovers period than LSU.cats gone wild;1000003 wrote:Read into your post. By the way. Top 50 passing offenses. Big XII-5 SEC-3. Not that much different.
Edit.
The SEC has more teams in the top 50 Rushing Offense than Big XII, so LSU's fumble recoveries shouldn't count because the SEC is Run Happy. -

I didn't say it did, I was just pointing out that they did find out that day.cats gone wild;999989 wrote:I dont know if you can blame the crash on the loss. If that was the case, Brett Favre shouldnt of had an amazing day the day after his dad died. -

They actually didn't play that horrible of a schedule. I believe it's actually better than bamas... -

Bottom line is Oklahoma averages ≈172 yards a game and is being held to ≈ 30.cats gone wild;1000006 wrote:One game, how about the season. And remember they dont play many rushing teams. -

And...what did LSU do to those teams? Shut them down. Easy to figure out.bigkahuna;1000011 wrote:

Didnt say they played a weak schedule.....was saying they gave up alot, i mean ALOT of offense and points all year. Dont act like one game is a whole season of good defense.Crimson streak;1000016 wrote:They actually didn't play that horrible of a schedule. I believe it's actually better than bamas... -

i know it was early in the season but lsu's d was at least reeling against west virginia. believe me, i know the tigers are worlds better since that game, just pointing it outcats gone wild;1000028 wrote:And...what did LSU do to those teams? Shut them down. Easy to figure out.

Averaging 40 points a game while giving up 12 and beating 8 ranked teams. enough said, /threadCrimson streak;1000034 wrote:Not saying that but look at lsu's offense enough said -

Exactly honestly lsu's secondary is damn good but they haven't been tested by a great passing offense. Don't give me Arkansas cause there really not that good -

What has LSU done all year vs top offenses or good QB's? Made them turn it over like crazy and score points. There hasnt been one game vs a good offense where LSU hasnt had multiple take aways. Right?dazedconfused;1000052 wrote:i know it was early in the season but lsu's d was at least reeling against west virginia. believe me, i know the tigers are worlds better since that game, just pointing it out -
grodtComing into today...
Oklahoma St. INTs/PA: 4.57
LSU INTs/PA: 4.55
So Oklahoma St. faces more passing teams but both pick off the opposition at about the same rate.
EDIT:
After todays games...
Oklahoma St.: 23 Ints / 510 PA = 4.51
LSU: 18 Ints / 392 PA = 4.59 -
sportchamppsLsu has 6-7 future pros in the secondary their backups will make the nfl

I count 5 ranked teams and 40 points a game is really misleading. There d and special teams have set up them with great field position and have had how many special team and defensive td's? -
Crimson streaksportchampps;1000063 wrote:Who has the better offense Oregon or ok state
It's tough I would say Oklahoma st. Because of the qb play -

How did Houston fare today? How did OSU fare against Iowa State? What about Baylor losing 3 games? Great passing isnt all that it takes to win games. Defense is. How much does it have to be stressed each year that defense wins titles? Again, look at past OK teams. No sense in arguing anymore, Ive proved my point.Crimson streak;1000055 wrote:Exactly honestly lsu's secondary is damn good but they haven't been tested by a great passing offense.
