    Don't you people know that when considering one-loss teams for the BCS Title Game you are only allowed to talk about their loss and not any of their wins?

    One of those 5 is Texas, who got stomped today and is now 7-5 and will finish out of the top 25, so make it 4-2.

    Another one is Missouri, who is #25. Who knows if they'll still be a "top 25" team next week. And again, they're 7-5. Let's not pretend a 7-5 Missouri team is any better of a win than a 7-5 Auburn team just because Mizzou is #25 and Auburn might be #30.

    There's a case to be made for both teams.

    It isn't difficult killing the likes of North Texas, Georgia Southern and Kent St. They could have at least attempted to get another BCS conference opponent in their OOC schedule other than Penn St.

    Looking at their schedule, it wasn't that difficult. Sure, Alabama is a very good team, and they had a great year, but absolutely nothing in their schedule indicates that a BCS championship spot is guaranteed. If they wanted a guaranteed sport they should have beat LSU or at least made the game interesting.

    They may give up a lot of yards but they force turn overs. I actually think Oklahoma st is a bad match up for lsu. There maybe 1 or 2 teams that could actually cause lsu problems and that's because of there offense and there defenses ability to force turnovers. Lsu hasn't faced a receiver that caliber of Blackmon or a qb like weedon. I actually think it would be an awesome game as a neutral college football fan

    One of the biggest stats for a defense is also T.O

    OSU leads the nation in turnovers and is #2 in T.O.M. behind LSU. So, don't they have a good defense too?

    LSU is +23 on turnovers and has the best secondary in football. OSU would have 4 ints probably. OSU wouldnt cause LSU to turn the ball over since LSU doesnt pass much. And OSU cant stop the run. LSU would wear them out and at the end they would do what they did to Ark.

    Read my above post. And OSU gets turnovers because they play in the pass happy B12.

    But at what point does a win stop being impressive? My point wasn't that Auburn is a good win too, it was that neither of them is anything special. A top 50 win in college basketball is impressive at the end of the year because there are 320 teams. Beating a team that finished in the top 50 out of 120 doesn't impress me.

    Who cares if you beat a 6-6 Texas A&M team that finished #48 or a 6-6 Vandy team that finished #57 (totally made those numbers up, I'm not sure how they came up with a top 50 BCS poll because human polls don't usually rank 50 teams and the BCS only ranks 30 to my knowledge).

    The point is I think it would be stupid to say Team A should definitively make the title game over Team B because the completely average 5 or 6-loss teams Team A beat were slightly better liked by the computers than the 6-loss teams Team B beat.

    Look at legitimately good wins, look at who they lost to, and pick the two best teams. I think you could make an argument for either resume. I personally think Alabama is the better team (and the best team in the country, as I've said before).

    To match up the #1 and #2 teams in the country. If Alabama is the #2 team it doesn't matter that they've already played.

    The BCS is a shitty system, but it is the current system.

    I dont know if you can blame the crash on the loss. If that was the case, Brett Favre shouldnt of had an amazing day the day after his dad died.

    LSU Ranked T-37th in the nation in fumble recoveries with 11

    OSU Ranked 2nd in the nation in INT with 21

    LSU Ranked T-10th in the nation in INT with 16.

    Don't let stats get in the way of your argument though.
