Toledo has hired Matt Campbell. He's very well known for his recruiting and has been O-coordinator under Beckman. He's the guy the players wanted, so it should help keep guys from transferring and keep their top recruiting class together.

Excellent choice by Toledo, as this should keep it seamless on the field as well as recruiting

Great choice by Toledo IMO. Helps keep the momentum the program has built the past few seasons and keeps a guy that was a hot commodity.

It's being reported Gus Malzhan to Arkansas State. Good thing for Clemson to lock up Morris and OSU to get Herman already.

I do not get this. He couldn't do better? Must hate Chizik or be fearful of violations or something.

I don't get it either. He's taking a pretty significant pay cut to accept that (rumored offer is $850k vs $1.3 mil he's making at Auburn). And he was considered a top candidate for the UNC and Ole Miss openings but really didn't even seem to pursue them, no rumors or anything after his name surfaced at the outset. It's strange.

Guz Mahlzan is leaving AUB to coach Arkansas State? #ThingsThatAreDead Gus Mahlzan's ambition.

Didn't Auburns defensive coordinator just leave to be defensive coordinator at UCF too? Definitely seems interesting.

He sure did. Very interesting. I wonder if there is anything to this ala Pete Carrol leaving USC. That's probably just the conspiracy theorist in me.

Me too. Or Chizik is just a royal ass to work for.

Tim DeRuyter is the new coach for Fresno State. He was the defensive coordinator at Texas A&M.

Apparently, Penn State representatives have contacted Navy head coach Ken Niumatalolo.

I think the NCAA is about to come down on AUB.
Plus, Gus' wife is on video running her mouth about players.....etc. Why did he turn down millions at Vandy and where ever else he was offered to take a pay cut, I dont know.
I know in the last couple days, Dyer from AUB has been suspended for bowl game and he might leave team

I don't know if it was posted on here or not, but Auburn's offensive coordinator left there for the same position at UCF. That's strange. How is that a move in the positive direction?

I can't find it anymore...I just looked again. I wonder if the move actually happened now...

Malzahn is from Arkansas. Maybe he just wanted to go home and straighten out that crazy wife of his.

Looks like Pitt head coach Todd Graham is bailing out of the burgh after one season. He is taking the Arizona job.

Pittsburgh Sports guy is reporting it...

Arizona State ... but yeah. Sucks for the Pitt kids.

Malzahn is still the GOAT coach because our German last names only differ by one letter. Fools me every time I read something about him.

I guess Todd Graham sent a text to the AD informing him of his departure. He then asked the AD to inform the staff and players. He left town. Another Bobby Petrino...

Mora might want to target a good recruiter since has no experience with this part of college football.

It is now being reported ASU had requested permission to speak to Graham and was declined. Three hours later Graham resigned from Pitt and accepted the job at ASU.

If true, ASU will be in a little trouble.

If the manner in which he informed his players is true, I've lost a lot of respect for him.

Of course, Randy Edsall did the same thing in jumping ship to Maryland.

Graham bailed on Rice after 1 year too (only 2 or 3 days after signing a multi-year extension). And then got shown up by the Rice marching band when Tulsa played them the next year. I would never commit to play for that guy. How could you ever trust him to stick around?
