    Either way, Utah spanked Bama in the Sugar Bowl. OSU beat Arkansas ( I seen it with my own eyes). Meyer had his way with the SEC while he was there.

    I think OSU and Meyer could beat an SEC team.

    Wrong. Meyer will win titles at OSU. Had Meyer coached OSU the last 10 years, I think Meyer wins more than the one title Tressel won.

    OSU couldn't join the SEC. The academic standards are too low in the SEC, hence why the SEC has so many thugs, hence the real reason Meyer left Florida. He knew he couldn't babysit all those thugs 24/7, so he left. I don't think he wanted to deal with all that crap anymore.

    I think over the last 12 months many OSU fans have been humbled. Many now realize that a coach can't control his players getting in trouble, but he can control how he handles it afterwards.

    Easy to put those kind of numbers up against subpar competition. Plus, doesn't their defense have something like 12 touchdowns. They are winning despite their offense in one of the worst conferences in the country. And 17th is nothing to call home about anyway.

    I thought Urban quit because he couldn't handle the stress. I don't think coaching in Columbus would be any better for his health. I like Hoops idea of grabbing Peterson....but that won't be easy.

    I'd say the same thing too. You can't say "yes" or "maybe" when you are working for someone else, and you don't want to grab headlines either.

    Not saying Urban will be the next coach, but he has no other choice but to say No.

    That means "We are talking but waiting for the NCAA decision."

    Not being gullible at all. I took it as the man just squashed the rumor, that he accepted the OSU job. The man just spent all week dealing with the loss of his father. OSU is facing possible infractions. He is one year out of coaching because of health promblems. Maybe, just maybe, he is telling the truth. You should know as a Michigan fan, alot can happen regarding the hiring of a head coach.

    Maybe he is, but what he said was nothing close to denying there were talks about it. He only stated what was true. Otherwise he would have said "I'm not interested in coaching for OSU or anyone else, and I will not be on the sidelines next year."

    I dont know why you think he's going to win you titles in a short span. OSU is hurting right now with the players they got and the recruits coming in for next season. Plus, OSU has bad assistants. OSU has a scholarship deduction. Who says OSU wont have a bowl ban? As I said, the title goes through the SEC and OSU has zero wins vs SEC teams in bowl games. And you can scratch next year off for OSU winning a title if Meyer takes the job. Stress level will be too high for him to last more than 3-4 years.
