LSU vs. Bama Nov 5th

thedynasty1998The OSU vs. Michigan game was bigger because it truly was a playoff game for the NC. Although this game is as well, there is too much left in the season to crown the winner as a team in the NC.
With that said, both of these teams this year are better than either OSU or Michigan. And we know that these 2 teams are the best 2 teams in the country and I don't know how close #3 is. Can't wait for this game. -

I don't think I did. The winner of the OSU vs. Michigan game was without a doubt playing in the NC, because it was the last game of the season.Pick6;947510 wrote:contradict yourself much?
Although I think LSU and Alabama are the two best this year, it's not a guarantee the winner plays in the NC because there are still games left.
I think Wisconsin is better than Michigan St, but State beat them. -

They're 5-2 with losses to a pair of top 15 teams that have 1 combined loss. They clearly haven't flopped.Pick6;947288 wrote:whatever. They still lost to the only 2 decent teams they've played. And they havent beaten anyone that justifies them being ranked again. Another example of SEC love from the voters.
Whatever all you want, it was still an incorrect statement. -

Wahhhhhhhhhhhh. And this is ANOTHER example? What are the other examples of voters showing BLATANT SEC bias?Pick6;947288 wrote:whatever. They still lost to the only 2 decent teams they've played. I get what you are saying, but who would you put above them? With the limited number of games everyone plays, quality wins are few and far between. Everyone can't be overrated because someone has to be ranked in those spots.Pick6;947288 wrote:whatever. They still lost to the only 2 decent teams they've played. In Georgia's case, sure they lost to two good teams - weren't completely blown out of either, but they lost. They have one win over a winning team. Would you put Cincy above them, with a 6-1 record (and two wins over 4-3 teams) but a terrible loss to Tennessee (who Georgia beat)? How do you think Cincy would have fared against Boise and/or South Carolina and how do you think Georgia would have fared against South Florida and NC State? Do you think Cincinnati would beat Georgia? -
sleeperThe bias with the SEC in the polls always starts pre-season which is the most meaningless poll of all. They don't drop nearly as far beacuse they lost to a ranked team, and if they lose to an unranked team, that team becomes ranked allowing the school that lost to stay ranked.
This goes on and on throughout the season, and we have to hear how great the SEC because they have so many teams ranked, when in reality, there's no way to differentiate a 1 loss team from the SEC vs a 1 loss team from the Sun Belt. The SEC bias exists in giving that 1 loss team the edge for no particular reason, that's why the SEC is overrated and that's why historically the B1G is by far the better confernce. More titles, more Heisman winners, 4 of the top 6 winningest programs of all time, and a better overall head to head record against the SEC. Let's not even begin to talk academics or that 99% of bowl games are played 10 miles maximum from SEC country. As long as people continue to perpetuate the myth that the SEC is better because their top team has won the Title the past few years, the longer we have to deal with SEC fans and their ignorant drivel. -

Mississippi St being ranked preseason, and being 3-4 now.Rotinaj;947996 wrote:Wahhhhhhhhhhhh. And this is ANOTHER example? What are the other examples of voters showing BLATANT SEC bias? -
cats gone wildMiss St. finished in 15th last year, so thats probably why they started out ranked and who they returned.
I think pre-season can be overlooked. Its if it continues in the polls in the weeks after when you get a good feel if the team is good or not. -

cats gone wildIf ESPN College Gameday is at LSU, what game will Herbstreit do since the LSU game is on CBS? Has that ever happened before where they dont cover the game?
-
karen lotzIt has happened before and he flies out as soon as GameDay is over. Kansas State/Oklahoma State is on ABC at 8 so I wouldn't be shocked if here were there.
Also, the game is at Bama, not LSU. -

karen lotzsure did. Don't know why, it wasn't anything bad. Asked a simple question about what happens when GameDay is at a game that ABC/Herbie isn't covering.

I got my answer on the LSU board before anyone posted on here so I just erased it. You must of been replying when I deleted my post. And well no duh about game being at Bama. All I said is something about College Game Day being at the LSU game. It is the LSU game, right?karen lotz;953558 wrote:sure did. Don't know why, it wasn't anything bad. No, its the Alabama game. LSU just happens to be the opponent. -
cats gone wildSo, when I went to Tennessee to watch the LSU game I should of said I was going to the Tennessee game? I think whoever you are a fan of is the team you should list, not whose home field.
Im hearing that Lacy might be out for Bama, the one who gets the carries TR doesnt get. -
SportsAndLadyFor some reason ESPN thinks that we care about going "behind the scenes" of LSU and Bama....uhhh ESPN, we just want to watch this awesome game, stop jamming this stupid shit down our throats.

Every SEC fan wants to see that. After all, they do support 12 teams, not just 1. -

I was trying to remember if they did this with Michigan/OSU 06. I honestly can't remember, but I want to say no.SportsAndLady;953921 wrote:For some reason ESPN thinks that we care about going "behind the scenes" of LSU and Bama....uhhh ESPN, we just want to watch this awesome game, stop jamming this stupid **** down our throats. -

I don't think they did anything like this but they hyped the game up a lot(which they should have) and they did a lot of stuff about the rivarly and showed past games as well.bigkahuna;954695 wrote:I was trying to remember if they did this with Michigan/OSU 06.
