I dont believe so for a Shot Clock. Only game clock.

    BOOM!
In college basketball, the same procedure may also be used to determine if a shot was released before time expired in either half or an overtime period. In addition, NCAA rules allow the officials to use instant replay to determine if a field goal is worth two or three points, who is to take a free throw, whether a fight occurred and who participated in a fight. The officials may also check if the shot was made before the expiration of the shot clock, but only when such a situation occurs at the end of a half or an overtime period. Such rules have also required the NCAA to write new rules stating that, when looking at instant replay video, the zeros on the clock, not the horn or red light, now determine the end of the game.

So does "end" mean the last 2 minutes, 1 minute, literally at the final horn?

He's possibly the worst announcer ESPN throws out there. Which is impressive considering some of the basketball personalities they have.

And I think he's a douche. But it's mainly the announcing.

Yeah who knows. Im guessing the last minute. Since the other rule change (clock stopping after basket) is in the last minute. But who really knows? I dont have time to go read a rulebook.

    Gene Keady?

Lol. Well we are certainly all entitled to our opinions. I love Bobby Knight, always have, so anytime I can listen to him talk about the game I am more than interested in what he has to say. He might not be the most polished announcer, but there are none that are more astute observers and analyzers of the game.

    No, just an ass.
  • Laley23
Also, I hate Bobby Knight as an announcer.

OSU is gonna fuck around and win this game.

Robinson will not let that happen

...unless of course he keeps missing dunks?
  • reclegend22
Bobby's better than Dick Vitale or any other joke of that nature. I loved Vitale in the '90s and even early last decade, but he's just a cartoon now. I'd rather listen to legends dissect the game.

Bill Raftery is the gold standard of color commentators. I also miss Al McGuire from his final few years. Damn he was good. Last game I heard him announce was Duke-Temple in the NCAA regionals in '99.

I completely forgot Billy Gillispie was coaching Texas Tech. Somehow I've avoided seeing him on the sideline all season.

Raf and Gus need to do every single game EVER together.

Bill Raftery is the fuckin best

    "_______________ comes out in mandaman"

    ONIONS!

    LOOOOVE Raftery.

Best Reftery moment for me, (ok, not best, but it made me lol) was when he was doing a Syracuse game 2 years ago.

"...and Gus, Syracuse comes out, and they are not playing....man-da-man" He just had to work it into the start of the broadcast. I loved it.
  • Mulva
And I just remembered that Gus isn't doing the tournament this year.

God dammit Gus. Was the Cotton Bowl worth it?

Yeah he always has to work it in with Syracuse. It'll be like "2-3 zone with mandaman principles"

Does Okie State do anything besides shoot 3s? lol
