I am still in awe at how well Mizzou has played under Haith's supervision. He was the best small-game coach in America while in Miami lol. He obviously inherited a lot of top flight talent when Mike Anderson skipped town, but Haith has still had to make it all go and he has done an admirable job. I work with a big Missouri fan and graduate and her backpedaling has been just laughable.SportsAndLady wrote:Speaking of Frank Heath..a LOT of Missouri fans are hoping their words on message boards don't get resurrected when they hired him LOL -

There are so many positive things about this video. The 7-16 record in bold print next to Tar Heels is obviously so precious that it's value cannot be determined, but the way the announcers (Mike Patrick and Brad Daugherty) make Ohio, who is visiting the Dean E. Smith Center on a string of like no tournament appearances in over a decade, out to be the 1989 Bad Boy Pistons is just too funny.Jughead;1087256 wrote:Seriously? It's not that hard.

I think chicago510 summed up the frustrations of 8 and 20 pretty damn well. Lol.
(As an aside, I really miss Brad Daughtery as a college basketball announcer. A former Heel he may be, but he was damn good at what he did. Too bad he left the game to watch cars drive around in traffic.) -
Mulva^ Hahaha. Fantastic.
Edit: directed at CGW. Not going to quote that big ass picture. -
cats gone wildNow Tennessee's starting center Hall is suspended indefinitely. Dont know why yet.
Its been leaked that the Bama players were suspended for failed drug tests. -

I mean, it's not as big as beating the Hoyas in the tourney a couple years ago, but still very nice! -
SportsAndLadyOU beating Georgetown remains and will remain in my top 3 nights ever at OU.
I had a final the next morning, that in the class I had a 95% in. I got blacked out and woke up at my girlfriend's at the time's front porch (she was gone for break and no one was there to let me in lol I wanted-i'm guessing-to stay there becuase it was next to my exam building) about 10 min before the exam.
Went in still drunk (as was about 80% of the class, so I felt good) and got a 42% on the final. A 42%.
I finished with a B- in the class haha
And didn't give two shits -
ohiotiger33We may hang with UNC for a half, but will lost by 8-15 points in the end. The streak will continue. Just so mad we couldn't get you guys at Chapel Hill a couple years ago when we beat you by 20 or so at home. Would have ended the streak for sure that year.

chicago510Is Seth Greenberg fired yet? I feel like that guy is a walking 19-12 season. Never fails.

INDIANAPOLIS -- Purdue kicked guard Kelsey Barlow off the team Friday and suspended swingman D.J. Byrd for a pivotal late-season game following an early-morning incident at a bar.

reclegend22Connecticut might as well just go ahead and book a floor of rooms at the Waldorf-Astoria for the last week of March. They will need a miraculous finish to the season to not be playing in the NIT. Barring an absolute meltdown, Marquette's win in Storrs today drops the Huskies to 16-10 on the season and 6-8 in the conference.
My how the mighty can fall, and fall so swiftly. See you again in 2014, Husky fans. -
reclegend22Marquette's Jae Crowder may be one of the most underrated players in the country. He has 28 points today on 4-of-7 shooting from beyond the arc, as well as 12 boards. He's averaging just shy of 17 for the season. As the announcer just said, every time UConn looked to turn the corner and make a push this afternoon, Crowder just crushed it with big shot after big shot. I'm not sure if people just can't see him because of his big hair or what, but Crowder is the kind of "swing" player that could really surprise people at the next level.
Jim Calhoun's team goes down big. It's a good day. -
Azubuike24Maybe the Colonial is better than people think?
VCU crushed Northern Iowa last night
Drexel blasted Cleveland State today
Marquette over Connecticut by 15. Huskies now in big trouble as they still have to play Syracuse again.
Wichita State continues to roll whipping on Davidson.
Miami holds serve at home over Wake, still in the bubble hunt.
UNLV about to go down to New Mexico (and run my parlay at the same time).
Florida State about to get a big win at NCSU. Tough week for NCSU with a blown lead over Duke and now losing at home to another team who could've helped them. -
Azubuike24Memphis...OUCH. Loses AT HOME to UTEP...bad loss.
Alabama bouncing back and whipping Tennessee, even without Green and Mitchell.
A&M and K-State looking to pull upsets today over Missouri and Baylor. -
Azubuike24Kansas State wins at Baylor...the Bears are sinking fast.
-
lhslep134I'm watching Terrance Ross for third time now and this kid is going to be a very good nba player
-
Azubuike24As long as he doesn't leave early (Wroten either), Washington has the best backcourt talent they have ever had under Romar going forward. Abdul Gaddy is valuable and has become almost an afterthought with the other guys around him.
-
reclegend22Missouri pulls out what was a near close call at A&M, winning 71 to 62, and moving to 25-2 overall. The Tigers look poised to make a serious run for a spot in New Orleans.
Does anybody else think in a handful of years the Frank Haith at Missouri experiment is going to end in the same shipwreck as Weber at Illinois? Because I do. -
Azubuike24We'll see after this year. Going to the SEC he's going to lose a lot of talent. The SEC, as a whole, recruits better than any conference in (outside of the ACC I'd say) and he'll need to continue it. Can he coach it is the question? Gotta be impressed what he's done this year...
-
reclegend22No, I am very impressed with what Haith has done this year. He hasn't skipped a beat since Mike Anderson hopped town, and has really inspirited a cohesive unit that pours onto the screen when the Tigers are playing. Missouri plays great team basketball. Haith might very well reproduce the magic that Weber did in '05 with the Fighting Illini and reach the title game. I think Missouri is that good. They lack some size inside, but the Tiger guards are as impressive as any group in the country.
I just don't think it will last into the coming years. We'll see. -
Azubuike24Can't zone this UK team. They might lose but the blueprint to beat them is attack MKG and Davis. Force Teague to beat you. Miller, Lamb and Wiltjer are deadly from outside.

lhslep134Wroten just abused Angelo Chol, it will definitely make the highlight rounds tonight. Sick nasty dunk.
