I'd hate to play K State in the tourney
  • Azubuike24
If Northwestern wins tonight, they could get to 9-9 in league play with games against Iowa and Penn State. Also OSU at home. Wins over Seton Hall and LSU help them against other teams vying for bubble spots.

They're going to give other teams a great game plan on how to beat Missouri.

Vermont back within 2 with under a minute left. Down to the wire.

Georgetown is getting absolutely drilled by Seton Hall.
  • GOONx19
Binghamton holds on, Georgetown loses by 18, Mizzou loses by 10.

NC State hanging with UNC at halftime, and Northwestern up 7 on the Victors at the half.

    Binghamton!

    SH in the tourney now?

Big stretch for Colorado State coming up. Vs New Mexico tonight, at SDSU this weekend and then finish with hosting UNLV and at Air Force. Win 3 of 4 and they have a strong chance at an at-large bid.
  • Azubuike24
That is an incredible upset. It won't get any attention but wow...

Kansas State is a lock now.

Iowa State, Oklahoma St., A&M are their remaining games.
  • Azubuike24
Xavier is going to lose to UMass. They gotta be out unless they beat 2 good teams in the Tournament, or they win at St. Louis. I think they lose to SLU, and 6 losses in this year's A-10 and at least 11 losses overall won't do it.

Losses to Oral Roberts, Long Beach State, Gonzaga, Memphis and St. Louis (maybe twice) looks bad against other comparable teams...

    X loses to UMass.

K-State is definitely a lock, and Seton Hall took a huge step. They have Rutgers and @ DePaul remaining, so they should realistically be good.

Another possible game of note - Creighton down 1 at half to Evansville. Blue Jays are probably safe after winning in BracketBusters, but they probably don't want to risk it.
  • Azubuike24
DePaul sucks, but honestly, would you be shocked it The Hall found a way to go 1-1, or even 0-2?
  • Mulva
Not surprised about 1-1. Yes about 0-2. I don't think they'll lose to Rutgers at home.

I think 1-1 is good enough though, with the collection of wins they have. UConn, WVU, St. Joseph's, VCU, Dayton. Georgetown was the statement win they needed to top it off.

RU/SH is a pretty big rivalry over there, I wouldn't be surprised if RU won that

N.C. State staying with their long-successful game plan of keeping it close for awhile and then gradually ceasing to exist.

North Carolina 66, N.C. State 55 with nine minutes left.

Kentucky is struggling on both ends against Mississippi State. Down 13 now.

    UNC beats NC State.
Miami with a crushing loss @ Maryland. They need to beat Florida State, and might need to win @ NC State too.
Virginia trailing Va Tech by 5 in the 2nd half. Cavaliers could end up right on the bubble too with UNC and Florida State coming up next.

After losing their three biggest games of the year in a row to the ACC's only for-sure NCAA Tournament teams in Duke, UNC and Florida State this past week (and already losing to UNC earlier in the year), the N.C. State Wolfpack are dead.

The ACC's fringe teams not getting it done. Very disappointing.

MSU is showing tonight how to go about beating UK. Crunch the middle and challenge outside shots. UK has had lot of mid-range chances, and MKG has been the only one to make them. Davis and Jones do most of their damage within 5 feet, but most of that is because the other teams are forced to leave them leading to many oops and layups.

Make UK work for points and hope they miss threes. Many have said the zone is the answer, but they are too versatile and tear up the zone. They also have 3 very good 3-point shooters, although Wiltjer has missed tonight (all but 1 minute) with an injury.

MSU is desperate. As Jimmy Dykes has said 14 times already.

And Virginia is in a battle with Va Tech. Who is BAD.

    Shitty maybe but correct.

    lol at that no call.

He never touched the ball. I wouldn't even be mad at the kid for a T on that one.

You think? I don't know, seemed like he wasn't trying to hang, just wanted to make sure he took an extra second hanging so he didn't land on the dude.

Just because the guy wasn't directly under him doesn't mean you should punish him for checking to see if there was anyone under him

Even worse after they just called 3 fouls that were all touch fouls.
