Michigan State def. Ohio State, 10-7

The lack of any kind of offensive production is directly attributable to the coaching staff and has a lot less to do with the personnel. There are horses on the team that can be ridden, our staff has no effin idea how to best utilize their abilities, period. They have Miller trying too hard not to lose rather than trying to win. The plays they call for him versus the plays they called for Bauserman prove it. What a joke.

We had to prove to the cheaters in the SEC that we were the best at self immolation....and we did just that. I don't see a whole lot of the other 'cheaters' falling all over themselves to vacate wins, fire their head coach and run their QB out of school. I don't care if Pryor was an a**hole, and Tressel lied. The sad truth is that OSU went far beyond what the NCAA handed down as punishment, and now we (OSU fans) are paying the price for the administration's mea culpa.
Sorry, but the 5 game suspension was before the NCAA knew about Tressel's involvement. Once it was known Tressel had knowledge and wasn't forthcoming about the incident, it became a whole new can of worms. That is why wins were vacated and that is why Tressel is gone. Punishment has not been handed down by the NCAA yet on that incident, so I am not sure why you are saying Ohio State went above and beyond; they did what they had to to keep impending punishment to a minimum.

Ohio State has the worst passing offense in the B1G, and arguably the worst passing game of ANY BCS school (Vandy and Kansas State may have arguments). They average the least total yards in the B1G (yep, less than Minnesota). They were sacked 9 times yesterday. The leading receiver (Stoneburner) has 10 catches through 5 games. They were 10 seconds away from being shut out for the 1st time since 1993. They've been held under 7 points twice in 5 games.

Not being able to expect to contend for the B1G title has absolutely nothing to do with looking like you've played offense before.

I guess there is no more argument about which conference is the best. Ohio State, an annual top 5 team and maybe the top program of all time is going to finish middle of the pack in the B1G.

When your offense ranks 106th, you're not going to win many games.

That's what I said... let's keep it real. The team is missing all it's playmakers and it's coach. I will not be surprised if they finish middle of the pack, or even second division. I do think getting back a starting lineman, your best reciever, and your best running back will make a difference in the offense. The guys that are playing are either underclassmen or backups. Those guys (eg. Bauserman) was a back up for a reason.

The defense only gave up 10 points. If this team had it's missing playmakers we would have won. You want to be mad at the back ups playing like back ups? Okay.

Stadium is definitely sweet. First game at bucks stadium was definitely disappointing, but the atmosphere was awesome. Terrible, terrible, terrible offense. The boo-birds were out and definitely warranted.

People are mad because we have a coaching staff that has made ZERO adjustments when teams stack the box, and bring blitzes regularly.

It's been beyond unforgivable how the offensive play calling has not changed despite what the defenses are doing. The play calling has been predictable...so predictable that MSU was regularly jumping the snap counts and guessing correctly. And still not adjustments were made.

I don't have a problem losing with backups IF the coaching staff does its job and puts them in the best possible position to make plays. This hasn't happened with this staff. Fickell has abdicated all responsibility for how poorly the offensive staff is doing its job, and that's not acceptable, either.

There are high school football coaches who are much better at making offensive adjustments and calls to counter 8 man fronts, run blitzing and everything else MSU was doing on early downs against OSU -- yet OSU did nothing.

When this coaching staff gets summarily fired (probably before the last game), it will be because they were totally inept at doing their jobs. Sadly, Heacock and the defensive staff will likely be victims of the purge when it comes, despite the fact they've done an outstanding job, even with youth and injuries to battle through.

No, we don't need TP! He wasn't that good! He put up numbers against poor defenses!

Why, so they could win the game and vacate it next spring?

    I can't disagree with that

People who boo their own team are losers. Unfortunately there are a lot of them at Ohio State. If they held themselves to the same standard they have for the Buckeyes, the world would be a better place.

You always manage to have something negative to say about OSU... whether it's hating on Gee, the fans or something else you always have something negative to say.

But you're wrong... that offense deserved to be boo'd yesterday.

Rumor is that Braxton's level of understanding is about like your average 6 yr old trying to do quantum physics (I guess that would be the nicest way to put it). In other words, they really can't throw much at him. AKA they really can't make any changes with him in the game.

That describes any big fan base. When you have that many fans, you're going to have a bunch of ignorant retards in there too.

I'd rather have some good feelings about OSU football than none at all. Wasnt it the university that self-vacated?

Well at least the fans and the Ohio State offense have something in common. They're both losers.

I'm not buying that Miller is so stupid that you can only run about 4 plays, he's been there since January if that's all he knows it's the coaches fault. I saw him in High School and under these turds he has regressed not improved. That game plan was sad (not really much to challenge a good MSU defense) or give the Bucks any chance of winning.

Playing against HS defenses is different than D1 College defenses. I guess he can't read a coverage or recognize a blitz to save his life.

I love Ohio State. I grew up there and went to school there. I don't support what Gee and Smith did in reaction to the violations and I have never cared for Gee's leadership style. So that's my right as an alum. As far as fans booing, I have always hated that. In my book, they're the ones with something negative to say about OSU. Booing your own college team is Bush league. It's been my experience that Ohio State has more than its share of these types.

I only had to read the last two pages of this thread to validate what I already knew..this site has quite a few morons who know dick about football that like to post just to see their words on a screen. I still stand by my signature--both of them ;)

That would explain stuff i've seen on TV. Like what appears to be complete panic when protection breaks down.

What a pathetic display of play calling by Bollman. Miller didn't have a chance. Run, Run, Pass against a D'antonio defense isn't going to work, EVER. Two or 3 screen passes against a blitzing team will slow the defense down, but evidently the play isn't on the sheet. Sadly, Bauserman gives this team the best chance to win right now, as slim as that chance might be.

I'm really happy with the defense. John Simon is unblockable! Howard got beat for the TD, but that's a long time to have to cover someone, and the throw was absolutely perfect. The young defense is playing very well.
