How bad will the Big 10 do?

  • dwccrew
I would take Florida at -21 against Cincinnati. It is not going to be like any other game the Bearcats have played in. The Gators have a defense, offense and one of the best coaches in the game.

Cincy will not be able to return kicks, like they have all year, against the special teams of Florida. Not too mention it is Tebow's last game in college. He will be fired up and generally plays well against terrible defenses, which UC has.

This will be a blowout. 55-24 Gators

LSU will win easily over PSU. Other than that, the small 11 wins 2 games.

Yeah because LSU has been so dominant this year? They've lost to the top 3 teams on their schedule and played a crappy OOC slate just like PSU.

    LSU was way overrated.

UC did play Oklahoma last year. If I recall Oklahoma had a high powered offense last year and played in the championship game last year. UC did return a kickoff in that game and hung in there for 3 quarters before the QB broke his leg. The score at the time was 28-20. Kelly then attempted to go for it on 4th and long from the UC 30, failed to convert and then the wheels fell off the bus from there. The final was 52-26.

My point is, yes this will be the best team we have faced, but it is not as if we have never faced a great opponent.

The way I see it, this game is a no-lose situation for the Bearcats. If UC loses, well that is what everyone expected. However, if UC even keeps it close, I think that will be beneficial for the program in the long run (as in recruiting, getting back to better bowls, donations, etc.).

This is the Big10's year to improve their reputation. I like the matchups, especially near the top.

Cats, come up with something original next time. Hurry, before Les Miles lets the clock run out!!

It's not no lose Danny, get blown out and see the Bearcats pre-season ranking in the shitter. UC can't get the respect throughout conference play to get to the title game.

At worst 2-5, 4-3 at best.

Line up any conference against that lineup and they will have a tough time.
2 SEC teams 2 Big 12 teams 2 ACC teams 1 PAC-10 team that is a good solid lineup no non-qualifier conferences for the Big Ten.

    3-4 is my guess.

I agree this may be the most anticipated Big game that will be a complete mismatch.Florida will shut down the Cincy offense and Cincy's defense will make Tebow look like the greatest qb the media makes him out to be.
This will be ugly and probably over at the half.

Exactly. The final was 52-26 and you will see the same result this year against Florida. This is almost the entire same Florida team that beat that OU team. I'd actually like to see the Bearcats pull one off (because I don't like Florida), but I am realistic, they aren't that good defensively and a one dimensional team that will get blown away by a well rounded team in Florida.

Once again, the Big Ten gets some of the worst matchups in college football.

However, with the amount of talent the Big 10 annually produces, I foresee a strong bowl season, quite possibly 7-0. Maybe 6-1 depending on if Iowa feels like playing or not.

Care to wager on Big 10 going 7-0 or 6-1??

Sleeper either you are so pro-OhioState/Big 10 that you can't see where fantasy starts and reality ends, or you just love getting a rise out of people!

    6-1 or even 7-0? LOLOLOLOL

I'm saying 5-2, but that's being more hopeful.

I don't have much faith in Minnesota, but then again Iowa State is nothing to write home about.

I like the matchup between Texas Tech's offense against MSU's defense.

I think Iowa's defense is good enough to force Nesbitt to turn the ball over a few times, and I'm confident that OSU's defense will be able to keep Oregon under 17 points.

    Bucks dunk Ducks
    Hawkeyes swat Bees

    Gophers chew 'Clones

    Big 11 goes 4 - 3

Rose Bowl: Ohio State vs. Oregon
    Ohio State, homer pick.

Orange Bowl: Iowa vs. Georgia Tech
Iowa, barely, but I can see GT running all over them

Capital One Bowl: Penn State vs. LSU
LSU, Penn St. is awful when confronted by a good defense.

    Outback Bowl: Northwestern vs. Auburn
I can see NW winning, but Auburn's offense may be too much, so Auburn.

Champs Sports Bowl: Wisconsin vs. Miami (FL)
Miami. I like what 'Consin is doing, but I really like what Miami is doing this year. Plus, 'Consin folds when playing good teams.

Alamo Bowl: Michigan State vs. Texas Tech
    TT rolls.

Insight Bowl: Minnesota vs. Iowa State
Minn. Bu, Iowa St. will make it close.

    So, 3-4.
  • darbypitcher22
The Big Ten actually has some decent matchups; they should win the Insight Bowl, Wisconsin could fare well against Miami and Northwestern should put up a good fight against Auburn. don't see Iowa being able to stop GeorgiaTech or Penn State faring well against LSU, and the Rose Bowl is a toss up

U mean kinda like the Utah vs Bama game was supposed to be a blowout as well?
Fla has nothing to play for, UC does. I think this game will be closer then some think. Will all depend on where Fla is mentally.
But the Sugar has been the game where the dog has had luck. Utah and Boise come to mind.
