No...I've read on other message boards that the big one has to deal with point shaving

He is closer to the situation. Was the average OSU student on full athletic scholarship for 2 years and would have an idea how the money the athletes got weren't enough to pay for a new Charger with tricked out rims? You can't understand that? Titus didn't have inside information on how they got the cars or if they got hookups, but he was putting two and two together to try to explain how they could have afforded those cars. God damn man.

Whatever you want to think, I'm not going to argue with you. His words, not mine.

    Your defunct board doesn't count.

Bomani Jones is trying to get Small on his talk show tomorrow morning.

    Ray Small? Really? LOL

The haters are so desperate that they are asking freakin' Ray Small(and likely paying him) to speak out against Tressel and OSU. What's next? Mo C? Eugene Clifford?

Keep hatin', we'll keep winning, and you're team will still suck.

lol point shaving that one will be hard to prove. I thought it was about vacations etc... although recently it will just be a rehash of a bunch of crap and probably some minor recruiting violations that have already been reported.

Isn't OSU pretty good against the spread?

I wouldn't say they are out of the clear yet. Malcolm Jenkins (who I would believe, negative or positive) will be on College Football Live to discuss this. Apparently the Lantern left out many of his comments (fairness?). I'd really like to see what that's about.

One thing i've been wondering and i've seen brought up, is Ray Small "Player G"?

nothing would surprise me, but this statement leads me to believe it's not:
The NCAA's notice of allegations sent to university President E. Gordon Gee on April 21 details the infractions that the six aforementioned athletes committed. It also lists a seventh violator, noted under letter "g" in its document. The NCAA accuses that player of having repeated interaction with Rife for a year-and-a-half.

Small said he didn't know much about Rife or Fine Line Ink.

Among the items this mystery player sold to Rife was a 2010 Rose Bowl watch for $250. However, Small, defensive end Rob Rose and running back Bo DeLande were suspended for the 2010 Rose Bowl for a "violation of team rules."

According to athletic department spokesman Dan Wallenberg, that means Small didn't receive a watch.

Rob Rose is another upstanding citizen

For those of you who remember...this is NO different than when Clarret made his allegations and there followed several ex-OSU players who went to the media and said similar things. All of them had less than stellar reputations, the same as Small. In the end, nothing that was said by any of those players was verified by the NCAA.

Character and credibility mean something, and Ray Small lacks both. If he's got proof of what he says, then he'd better get it in order for the NCAA. If not, he'll come out looking just as foolish as some of his predecessors have.
  • karen lotz
Another main difference, Writer, between this and Clarett(this is the correct spelling) is that Tressel was thought to have been a man of honor and integrity at the time of MoC spouting off. That isn't the case anymore.
  • Steel Valley Football
Who here thinks Clarett would bash Tressel to the media now? Not me. Not in the slightest.
  • JerseyBuck
Anybody catch Malcolm Jenkins on College Football Live? If not check it out when it comes back on at 6, he did a great job. He said Coach Tressel and the staff do a good job in laying out to players AND their families the rules. He also said it's up to the player whether they choose to ignore it or follow. Also said that while Ray Small and his small circle may have done it, the vast majority followed the rules.

Because sleeper made it seem like the article was written by some hater.

Bah, never could spell the dude's name right...probably because I detest him to this day.

I'll disagree with you. One mistake like this in a man's life does not take away all the good he's done, and it doesn't extinguish his honor and integrity. If JT had a history of lying then you'd have a point; but I believe in giving people a second chance when they screw up like this. I know that's not the popular thing to say right now...everyone is in a feeding frenzy and don't want to stop and have a cogent thought.

The media doesn't like Ohio State because people don't like Ohio State so they want readers. Like I said, getting rid of Tressel or any sanctions doesn't make your team any better, in fact its pretty pathetic.

Like I said, we're going to be a successful program and going to have plenty of jealous haters no matter what happens. Keep hatin', we'll keep winning.

maybe the ncaa didnt find any wrong doing when clarett made his allegations, but the list of buckeyes that got into trouble or got arrested showed that clarett was pretty much accurate in his allegations.
