jordo212000The twins shouldnt have been talking so much. I wasn't impressed with either one of them. I mean, they're solid, but the amount of hype they've received this year was laughable once I saw them play.

It's a crutch a lot of players seem to rely upon.jordo212000;727120 wrote:The twins shouldnt have been talking so much.... -
SportsAndLadyThey scored over half KU's points..they're the sole reason KU is so good. They are very good players, especially Marcus...and what hype are you talking about? Markieff isn't getting any all-american considerations (as he shouldn't) and Marcus is at best a 2nd team all-american..some don't even have him third team lol Their projected to be a first round pick, not a lottery pick. They are getting no more hype than any other "very good" player.

I don't care what considerations they have been garnering. I am just telling you what I saw. I saw two big guys who are soft and who couldn't hit a jumpshot from more than 15 ft away. They were more sizzle than substance. Just my $0.02, I could be wrong, but I was far more impressed with a couple of the VCU guys -

Haha you are definitely wrong...they hit 3 pointers at a good percentage, i'm pretty sure that's more than 15 ft away, could be wrong.. -
lhslep134Kansas lost to a hot team. Kansas, like Ohio State, was a very good team, but not a great team. The great teams find ways to win against inferior opponents (Kansas) or ways to overcome poor shooting (Ohio State). However, neither proved to be great teams.
On a sidenote, anyone who derives pleasure from Kansas losing for the sole reason because Ohio State already lost isn't secure enough in their fanhood. -

They combined for 1-5 during yestrday's game. But I will take your word for it for now. We'll see how good they are once they aren't pushing around the bigs at Nebraska and Iowa State any longer. I don't think they are that good. Just my opinion. Take it for what it is worth. They are extremely soft from what I gather.SportsAndLady;727175 wrote:Haha you are definitely wrong...they hit 3 pointers at a good percentage, i'm pretty sure that's more than 15 ft away, could be wrong.. -

kansas and ohio state were great teams, hence the reason they were number 1 seeds. You don't have the statistical season OSU had, and not be considered a great team. They just ran into a terrible shooting night and it cost them. Takes nothing away from how good they were, they just went cold for one night. -

How many KU games have you watched? I have watched about 20 KU games this year, and have watched them all 3 years at KU. They are not soft. I didn't even think they played soft last night. You don't go to the FT line as many times as they do by playing soft. The Big 12 has some very good big guys, it's very ignorant to say "once they aren't pushing around the bigs at Nebraska and Iowa State"..Thompson at UT, Jones from Baylor, Curtis Kelly from KSU. They also played Derrick Williams and Arizona. Dustin Harper from Richmond is projected early 2nd round, they dominated him. Illinois has some solid bigs. They aren't soft, they're very good players. -
Azubuike24Justin Harper is 6'10 but he might as well be 6'0. He's a good prospect because of his height, but he's still in school as a good, not GREAT college player, and has been there 4 years because he's yet to really use his height as an advantage. He's the exact type of big guy the Morris twins should push around.
With that said, trying to downplay them because of the Big 12 competition is stupid. Outside of JaJuan Johnson, what other NBA caliber big man did Jared Sullinger face? In the college game, it's rare to face opposition big men who strictly bang inside
