  We just didn't shoot well enough. I would have liked Jon to get the last shot too. But with 5.4 you get the best shot you can and that shot looked good

  IMO Harrelson was the difference. Dude guarded Sully one-on-one most of the night, which kept other guys from getting the open looks they normally get. Buford seemed to be affected the most.

  I said earlier in the year that a concern I had about this Buckeye team is having a player on the perimeter that can take over a ball game. It is nice to have a star post player, but history shows that guard play and stars on the wing is what advances teams deep into the tournament. Because they don't have to worry about getting the ball because it's already in their hands. Kentucky had that in Knight. UConn has that with Walker. North Carolina has that with Barnes. When we made our run in 2007 we had Conley. Guard play means almost everything in the college game. When that is missing, it is hard to win a game. Not trying to down our guards but Craft is more known for his defense, Buford never really been known as a clutch player, and Diebler is limited when it comes to creating his own shot. Time to work on another plan for next year. We could lose our whole starting 5. I am very confident that Buford is gone. I wouldn't be shock if Sully comes back to finish unfinished business. Only time will tell.

  I'm looking forward to watching Harrellson play at least one more game. Dude is fun to watch. He impressed me against WVU but his impact tonight was surprisingly significant.

  Buford was the least affected. He rarely got an open look off of a double inside this season. He did most of his work off the dribble with mid range jumpers and runners, which he had several tonight and missed nearly all of them. His pathetic game had nothing to do with how they defended Sullinger.

  They were saying this leading up to the game and during. If Harrelson could contain Sullinger (did to an extent), and make it 4-4, then Kentucky would have a great chance of winning.

  Sully had 21 and 16. He looked like Evan Turner last year against Tennessee. "When will one of these guys step up and help me?"

  Blame it on Gene Smith and the selection committee. No way was Kentucky a 4 seed; most analysts felt they should've been a 2, possibly flip-flopped with Florida.

  Not just that, but I really can't see his stock getting that much better. In fact, I think it could get worse as experts could see more flaws. I don't see that much more upside with him. He has to go if you ask me. I think some mock drafts have him late first round.

  How many lay-ups and put backs did we miss? I know Buford missed one (go figure), Craft missed 2, Lighty missed 2...off the top of my head.

  Trust me, I too said Ohio State got a tough draw. But we could make that argument every year. We just have to beat the teams we play.

  Yeah I was thinking about it before the game, but then I realized Kentucky would have Wall, Cousins, etc.
  
  It's just a shame that Ohio State, Kentucky, and UNC were the teams left in this region while other regions had some weak teams for the top teams to play.

  It was an ugly 21 though. He wasn't very effective offensively. Probably 8 of those came on oops and put back dunks.

  This game was played a round too early IMO, for sure. UK got fucked with their seeding, but it's worked out for them.

  Looked like Kentucky played Sully the same way Florida played Jimmer last night. Here's a defender. If you get 50, feel free. But the rest of these guys won't benefit from it.

  Regardless of the draws (it is what it is), the East region went pretty much chalk to this point whereas the others had upsets. Just the way it works sometimes.

  Not only that- how many of our shots were blocked? UK's length was a factor.
